So which do you think is better and why?I have played y two times before from two different friends and I have played x before but did not beat the league(my game).I must say that x has some different pokemon than y but the pokemon and megas that x has,have better designs and sometimes the most stats,like mewtwo x and charizardite x and we also have tyranitarite.Plus x has xerneas which could destroy Yevaltal because it is a fairy but I like yeevaltal a lot from its story line to its design and its shiny.

So which one do you think is better x or y from the pokemon,mega stones and mega pokemon and also the story line of the legendary pokemon?:D
 
I think that both games are almost exactly the same. The only difference is that there are some different Pokemon and mega stones that you can get in each game. For example, each game has a different Charizardite and Mewtwoite. Overall, it really just depends on which Pokemon and mega stones you like more.
 
Pokémon Y is better. Although Yveltal is not nearly as competitively viable as Xerneas, Pokémon Y has many other pokemon that outclass those found in Pokémon X. Tyranitar(mega or not) is infinitely better than Aggron. It is a top tier OU threat, and is essential to any sand team. Cradily and Armaldo are not viable in OU or the VGC formats, while mega Manectric, Liepard, and Omastar are. Mega Mewtwo Y is more competitively viable then Mega Mewtwo X due to Mewtwo's lackluster physical movepool. Charizard Y is also used much more than and is better than Charizard X. It completely outclasses ninetales as a drought user, has monstrous special attack, and doesn't die to Earthquake or fairies like Charizard X. It can sweep teams on its own or with the help of Venusaur.

I would have to say Pokemon X is better. Mostly, because I have never played Pokemon Y. I have a hunch for only getting the first game name that comes first. For instance, Pokemon X, Black, Diamond, Ect. So I guess I do not have a viable opinion, :p
 
I never played Pokemon X, but I am having a lot of fun playing Pokemon Y. I love Pokemon games, but I only buy one version of them. I am not that big of a collector to buy both versions of a game, but just feel that one of each new Pokemon games is good enough for me.

Pokemon X because it's the one I have.

Seriously though. Charizard X is way better looking than Charizard Y, and there's a lot of advantages to gain with the Dragon Typing TBH. No more 4x weakness to Rock, although you now get a weakness to ground ._.

Xerneas is cool than Yvetal imo, reguardless if he's a fairy type or not. X is a sexier letter than Y. While Y is sexY, X is seXier! See even the english launguage knows X is better than Y. j/k

I like the Megastone sin X more, i think that's what led me to make my final decision for the game, but Y is pretty cool too. I'd say X slightly beat it.

I LOVE Xerneas from pokemon X, I don't like the one from Y because fire birds are just becoming to cliched
 
Pokémon X. Beside all the cool pokes (Xerneas!) I like the storyline in X more. I thought it was quite deep when Lysandre said "Sycamore's pupils... Let us live forever... That's right! I shall grant you eternal life! I'll give you the pain of endlessly waiting for a beautiful world to finally be built!" I like that a lot more than him destroying all. It does not only contain a message about his view on the future of the world but also on life itself. It shows that he thinks that life in a way is more of a burden than a good thing. He has a lot more personality in Pokémon X. He inspired several characters in my drawings and writings. I think they have brilliantly composed a person who is pained by the way people live without telling too much. It is like they painted a whole landscape with a few brush-strokes. And the quotes of Lysandre in Pokémon Y fail to do that.

Besides, "Everything beautiful should stay that way forever. I would make this world unchanging and eternal so all beauty will last forever." is a lot more logical motivation for his grunts. Why would team Flare help him destroy the world? It would be their doom too. This makes the grunts in Y look a lot more stupid or even suicidal while in Pokémon X it merely reveals their ignorance and their will to survive on all costs which is a whole lot closer to human nature.

And; Xerneas and Mewtwo X. 'nuff said. ;)

I don't think there are many people who buy both. But you can read all about the differences between the games on the net. And you could compare the mega-evolutions on the official website before the launch which motivated me to buy X instead of Y.

I personally think X is better, like stated above Lysandre was very moving in his speech. I was very glad that X was the game I picked when I looked up the differences in x and y. That Charizard X says a lot in a mere picture. I also thought the legendary in Y was lackluster. Black/Red over done colors and not very legendary looking either. Xerneas is very colorful, and really looks unique as a pokemon.

I've only played X, so can't really comment on Y. Xerneas just looks more beautiful and elegant. It's still very powerful though! :p

I don't have played any of those games but I like the mega evolutions of pokemon x more. Mewtwo for example, looks like a really cool and better Mewtwo. The one from Y just looks like Buu from Dragon Ball Z. Charizard from X looks really cool AND has an huge advantage as a dragon type, while the mega Charizard from Y is just a Charizard with a few tweeks.

Pokemon X takes my vote. Xerneas is graceful and peaceful, which is what I want in a Pokemon Version Mascot. Pokemon Y seems too reckless due to Yveltal being the Destruction Pokemon.

As i can say ..it based on the person,whether to get xerneas in x or yveltal in y. Read the review of the game before make a decision to play which one? :) thats my opinion though. For me I chosex cause I want the legendary mewtwo holdimg the psychic type one instead phychic/fighting type :) still dont catch the legendaru though

There is no better version , the two are good , i would not even judge a game because of the megas, if there was exclusive places to each version then yeah we could judge, the only thing that is exclusive is the mega stone nothing more, you can still get them in trades with others, about the legendarys its personal thing, depends of what the mascot says to the person in feelings , i know that some people choose the legendary that wins the other because of the type, but then if we would go that way no would buy the other version :rolleyes:

I got to say pokemon x was great I like the variations, mega charizard x was cool because it got a new typing of dragon which everyone wished and mewtwo x wasn't popular but I like how it's like mewtwo just got more buff and can face anything, and the other variations was pretty great but Xerneas was awesome because it's a new legendary that presents the new fairy type

Y so far because i've only just had it and i've slo nearly completed it :D love playing pokemon don't know why i ever got rid o all my other nintendo consoles.
