I was having a discussion with one of my friends the other day about this specific topic. We both disagreed with each other and now I'm wondering which you think is more painful.

Girls will eventually have to go through childbirth. It's supposed to be extremely painful .-.
Guys can get a solid kick in the winky and they may not live to tell the tale :lapras:

So I'm wondering which you think is more painful.. childbirth or being kicked in the winky :eyes2:

I SAY! :eyes2: Well, I guess I'll put my two cents in this, cuz why not? :p

If we're comparing how much pain, childbirth puts a woman near death's door. ( At least, that's what my mom told me from experience. :'D ) They only don't feel as bad when the mom is healthy, I think.

But- :hilarious: When I guy gets hit in the winky, heck yes, it's gonna hurt like a son of a biscuit. Like, when I playfight with my brothers sometimes it gets too rough, and someone ( me ) gets kneed. Hard. You feel like throwing up, feel paralyzed from the waist down, and it's really painful. HOWEVER! Though sensitive, it can take a surprisingly amount of pressure before a kick can kill us. Yes, if kicked hard enough, we could die. D:

So I think childbirth has us beat. :p

So, girls have a higher pain threshold generally then men because of multiple things. Now, I personally have never experienced either scenario so I personally don't know how painful either is. But from what I know of, childbirth is a LOT more painful. It also lasts for SO much longer.

Childbirth can last hours upon hours of constant agony, where a guy getting kicked in the crotch the pain doesn't last very long from what I've heard/seen.

Buzzfeed did a series a while ago where "The Try Guys" went and experienced what it would be like to be a mother. In the 4th episode they went and simulated sort of how painful childbirth would actually be.

Now of course, what they had wouldn't be an accurate representation of how painful childbirth would be as they didn't sit there for hours with it on the setting that would actually be as painful as childbirth. But it gives a fairly good view on it.

Childbirth can be so bad that they used to give mothers incredibly strong painkillers, but iirc that isn't used that much anymore due to heath risks to the baby.

None of this is even taking into consideration anything that could go wrong to make it all even more painful either.

I think it's a bit unfair to compare the two. At the time, I'm sure childbirth is more painful than getting kicked in a man's testicles, but how often does a woman give birth? Once or twice in their life, for the most of them that actually do. I can say that I've been kicked/hit in the testicles much more than that.

This isn’t really a big deal though. Childbirth lasts longer, and is very likely more painful. The once or twice thing is more of a modern standard than a fact, as in the past some people had around 20 kids, and my mother has had 7. Another factor is that it usually is intentional, and not usually a pain forced upon the person, though this might not be relavant.

Child birth... probably. Being kicked where the sun don’t shine doesn’t nearly last as long, plus people have actually died in child birth... I don’t think the same canbe said for the other way...

I’m a guy, and this has happened to me before (more than a few hundred times), so I’ll say my answer in the spoiler below. Read the spoiler if you really want to know my opinion.

Getting kicked in the winky as hard as I have will change you forever. It hurts like how an anvil getting dropped on all your game consoles at once and you being forced to watch would.

Although, I have no idea what childbirth would feel like (from what I’ve heard about it, I feel sorry for every woman who has had to undergo that kind of pain), so I guess I couldn’t really truly answer this, since I haven’t felt both sides of the question.

I'm not a female, but I honestly do believe giving birth would be more painful. >.</ In my opinion, I consider females stronger then men for taking the pain of giving birth.

I got kicked in the winky and I didn't live to tell the tale. :panda:

If you look it up, the lady parts involved in childbirth have many more neural responders than a "winky;" sorry, but there's only one answer to this; and either way, childbirth is a process, it doesn't end when the baby is born, there's more pain involved in this concept than some of you are considering.

Getting kicked in the winky.

Have I experienced giving birth?

No, but lots of women say "let's have another child!", and to this day I have never heard a man say "kick me in the winky again!"

Okay, okay, in all seriousness, I'll have to agree with @Alex on this one.

I have always hated this question, since it's things like these that make me not want to be in a relationship or at least have kids. It's really not a fair question, since neither sex can really feel both. It's sad we have gotten to the point where questions like these exist. This kind of question runs rampant in my family, and it really hurts. I'm in a predominately female family, and there's defiantly nothing wrong with that, but the general attitude is that when women give birth it's like they've risen to another plane of existence. So naturally the women get to have it made, and the rest of us are just banks (take it for what you will, you're right on both counts) that can be tossed out like disposable tissue.

And then it's the whole "I gave birth, you don't know what pain is" kind of bit. A grill exploded in my face last year and it really hurt, but I was told to suck it up since "I don't know what pain is".

In fact getting over the negative feelings I have just because I'm a guy is one of the reasons I've been dead for so long. I'm better now, though it took me years.

TL;DR, I don't think it's a fair question since neither sex can really, truly feel either pain.

That being said, in this mostly hypothetical scenario I don't think we'll ever have a real answer. Obviously us winky owners can never experience childbirth and the winkyless among us can never be kicked in the winky.
Since I have to guess, childbirth is probably worse. Frankly, though, I don't think the two experiences are very comparable anyway.
However, I have noticed that people who never took one in the berries tend to underestimate the magnitude of the experience. It's like a deep, visceral, eldritch pain. You feel nauseous and anxious and lightheaded and fully, uncomfortably numb. And it can last for hours. I do not recommend it.
TL;DR, childbirth is probably worse, but who knows. I don't recommend either, to be honest!
