Which is better: AS or OR

So, I recently ordered Alpha Sapphire for the 3DS after a long debate with myself over which of the two games I should get. But, Alpha Sapphire drew me in because it had my favorite legendary Pokemon, Latias, in it. I guess I'll just have to wait and see how I feel about the game when my order comes in.. For now though, I want to hear what you all think about the two games? Which game out of the two do you think it better and why?

PS, sorry if there is another thread about this. If there is I didn't see it when I looked Xp
 
OR is obviously better because, 7.8/10, AS has too much water.

I grabbed OR but it felt like the majority of folks went with AS. I suppose it really has to do with what version you originally got and/or which team you want to explore more. I had Sapphire when I first played through, so wanted to meet more of the dynamic of Team Magna, and felt like Sapphire wouldn't be very much new.

The pirates were pretty lovable though, apparently. I think they're pretty much equal, really... & it's really fun to conspire about how their plans don't make any sense i.e. Kyogre summons clouds, which doesn't create any new water to flood the earth with.
 
Latias or Latios...You can get the Eon Ticket and receive the other one later on down the road. As for which one is better, I have both versions, and the ONLY difference is the villainous team, and which weather/song plays after the version mascot goes off to do its thing.

The story is more or less the same barring the difference of extra land vs extra water.
 
I personally prefer Alpha Sapphire more, because I'm getting fond of Primal Kyogre's design. Besides, I used to play Pokémon Sapphire back then, which makes me like it a lot more.
 
I prefer Omega Ruby, simply because I'm a fan of the fanmade Dating a Team Magma Grunt Doushin. I do like groudon more than kyogre too, because it's way better in competitive battle and it has to do with the sun rather than the sea. I named my groudon Golden Sun after one of my fsvorite RPGS of all time, and he's sitting in my box waiting to be auctioned off at pedia.
 
I like OR, probably because it was the first pokemon game I ever played.
 
Alpha Sapphire was the better out of the two because the story makes since if Archie was the one making a big mistake awakening Kyogre. Another reason I think Alpha Sapphire is better is because on this version we can catch Dialga and Thundurus who is very good in competitive play.
 
I think Alpha Sapphire is a better choice because Archie looks so much cooler and Primal Kyogre looks so much cooler than Primal Groudon :)
 
well it is really your choice which game you should have to get, by the way i have pokemon alpha sapphire choose it because it have most of version exclusive pokemon which i like and as said by @Liva_Rules team aqua look are lot better than team magma .

Well to be honest I got Omega but I had emerald originally and I really like Groudon but I ended up trading my starter for Kyogre so yea lol its up to you.

In my opinion they are almost the same. You can get both Latios and Latias (you get 1 during the adventure and 1 from Street Pass when you pass someone near you), and the diffrence are only the Legendary Pokemons when you get to some Mirage spots, which you can also get from trading, in one game you catch Groudon and you can see a lot of lava, and in other you can catch Kyogre and see a lot of water. There are also Pokemons you can get only in 1 game.

They are both pretty much equal except for version exclusives so I chose Alpha Sapphire. My friend later got Onega Ruby, and I tried to catch groudon on her game and It was A PAIN. Maybe this only happened to me, but it kept spamming rest until eventually we had used all our pokeballs. And still failed. But other than that I think there's not much of a difference

I have Omega Ruby and I actually managed to get into the fight with Groudon and right off the bat I tossed a quick ball and got a critical capture for the win and then I was playing through, beat the Elite Four and the Champion, Went through the Delta episode and critical captured Rayquazza with a quick ball and Deoxys had about a quarter of his health left and I crit. captured him with a dusk ball. (it was about 7:00pm so dusk ball is 2.5X more effective)

I prefer AS, on the reasons of the Version exclusives. Also my favorite color by far is blue. But all of that aside, always look on serebii for the Version exclusives before you buy a Pokemon game, the decision is much more easier. Also I have been a huge fan of Kyogre and Team Aqua. So I the decision was hard for me on this because I preferred the Pokemon on OR more than AS, so I chose AS All on gameplay and what I prefer.

They are both the same the only differences are that the lengendary Pokemon are different (only Kyogre and Groudon) and the two villains. Either way it ends about the same way. Even tho I found the Kyogre cutscene in AS a lot cooler then the cutscene of Groudon in OR. Overall it's just comes down to personal preference. I prefer AS but a lot of people also prefer OR.

I like alpha sapphire just because I rather have alpha group on than alpha other one. I also prefer the other one because I like the team rocket guys in the red rather than the blue. That's what I like more.

I got both OR/AS for my last Bday, and I actually like AS slightly better. AS is cool, and the kyogre mega-evolution is pretty sick. I only like it better because of the fact that i like kyogre better than groudon. Besides that, They are both great games and it doesn't really matter which you choose. They both have the exact same bases, legendaries(besides groudon and kyogre) and the exact same gameplay other than the fact one team of bad guys are hotheads and the other are crooks. Literally.
