Remember back in the old days? When gaming was so simple yet fun? Where the classical SFX and graphics always made us happy to see in our old games? I want to know which was your most favorite game and console from this generation...! For me, I still love the Nintendo 64! My most favorite games from that console are Mario Kart 64 and Super Smash Bros. 64. The sounds in this game are so nostalgic and enjoyable.... Ahh good times... So? What about you? Which is the best old-school console of Nintendo that you enjoy the most?

As a old school console and I think the best of all , is the SNES . It was a very fun console with the first of the first of games like the Legend of Zelda as well as others like well Mega Man and other famous franchises . They games were really hard but in a different kind of which actually makes the game fun . Not to mention Zelda 2 - adventure of link . It's practically the hardest to me , but it was still ..... fun compared to the now generation where when I see a hard game , I don't feel like playing it anymore

I liked the others like the N64 which had very memorable game but the SNES was solid old-school :)

I completely agree with you! I loved the Mega Man games for being so difficult! :p
PS: Your signature picture is funny :hilarious:

Oh this is a fun question. NES all the way. I grew up with that console, so I should know how to answer this question in an instant, like that, in less than a second!

Whoops! Got carried away. Anyways, cya!

Poke on Emerald is indeed a great game, despite the hard to beat gym leaders as you mentioned. Just makes the game more challenging and fun! The gba is a good console for its classic poke on games.

I agree with you more the harder game will be the more fun will be their but nowdays there is no longer fun to play pokemon game as every thing is become very easy and I wish they make next generation more harder as compared to 6 generation.

This is true. It feels like we can just breeze through games now. Its like the creators are just not trying, but even if that is the case, there are still lots of good games.

SNES and N64 rock. I own every Nintendo console but for the NES I don't have that many games (SMB1+3, Zelda 2, Kid Icarus, Ice Climber, Tetris and Dr. Mario :D) so I don't have that many memorable moments with my NES. And the SNES and N64 have too many killer apps. Just so freaking many.

Just one! I'm not sure which one I would say is the best. I love the gamecube, N64, and SNES. I love them all along with all of the games that they have. If I would pick just one I would have to say the gamecube. It has all of my favorite games on it. Along with a ton of terrible ones that I don't own.

Game Cube is also in for "old school" console? I thought it would be just up to N64... Well then I would tend to take GC since it was the first console I owned and it had many, many great games, the best controller ever made and it is just pure love...

Super Mario Sunshine, Zelda Wind Waker + Twilight Princess, Metroid Prime 1+2, Tales of Symphonia, Mario Kart DD, Smash Bros. Melee, Luigis Mansion, Star Fox Adventures (+Assault), F-Zero GX, Paper Mario 2, Mario Party 5, Prince of Persia Sands of Time, James Bond 007 Nightfire... Hah... Good ol' days...

The only old-school console I have is the NES and we not have a whole bunch for this console, but I like 8bit games and music, so the amount of games I have for this console does not really matter, at least not to me, but in the future I will have to get some more NES games just because I want to play a physical NES game as apposed to a ROM, but I still use ROMs for those games and consoles that I do not owmn.

I'd go for the GBA SP. It had an impressive library of games, from Pokemon to Zelda (series we still love still to this day). The graphics were amazing, and I used to play it on long journeys to kill time. The backlight meant I could play it at night when I couldn't sleep. I think I played it way too much, though. :panda:

I would have to say the SNES for me. Games like A Link to the Past, Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars, Final Fantasy Mystic Quest, Kirby Super Star, Donkey Kong Country/Donkey Kong Country 2, Illusion of Gaia, Super Mario World and Yoshi's Island easily seal the deal for me. Plus many more, but these are some of the ones that I played the most during my childhood.

I would have to say the Nintendo 64. I never had one, or any other console before the Wii. However, my friend had a Nintendo 64, in which we played the legend of zelda Majora's Mask and Ocarina of Time. At the time I thought it was crazy that they used such big cartridges and controllers.
