Wii U remotes, the gamepad, pro controllers, hori controllers, pdp pads, old gamecube pads, new gamecube pads, wiimotes and many more I've probably forgotten to mention. There's a host of controllers available for smashing but which one will you use primarily and why?

This is my current pad of choice: a 3rd party gamecube controller that's not only very comfy but the sticks feel very fluid. Truth be told, I haven't got the money (nor is the pad I want to replace this in stock) so for now I'm stuck with it.

But I can't complain. How about you guys?

Well, since I don't have a Pro Controller (that controller is fantastic yet expensive), I guess I'm stuck with either 1) The Wiimote, 2) The 3DS as a controller, 3) The GamePad (and I'm actually scared by what the controls looks like for it), or finally, 4) The Wiimote + Nunchuk combo.

I was going to play with a GC controller, because I thought that the game + adapter pack was in a fact a game + controller + adapter pack, then I noticed it.
In any case, I think I'm going to stay with the 3DS or the Wiimote + Nunchuk. Too afraid of the GamePad for a SSB game, and sideways Wiimote is just... no. It's a crime, an insult.

I'm able to use the game cube controller.

I'm going to get a Pro Controller, but I might use my 3DS or the Gamepad
