Which would you choose, Lotad or Seedot

So ive chosen to start over oras and chose torchic as a starter, now im trying to decide if i should get a Luiculo or Shiftry because i need a grass pokemon to counter Mudkip/Marshtop/Swampert. So Im asking do you perfer lotad or seedot

I'd go with Seedot personally. It's not that great at the beginning, but once you level it up and get it some moves, maybe even make it a Nuzleaf, it gets a lot better, and as a Shiftry, it's even better. That said if you need a Water type too, Ludicolo would be the better choice since it can get those Water type moves whereas Shiftry can't.

Yeah i like shiftrys move pool, a great variety.
But then i like lombres type and move types as it would be useful against both mama or aqua.
I mean i could get both but then I'd slow down training,

I am going to say lotad because I prefer t over seedot. I like the look of Ludicolo over shiftry. Lotads typing would be helpful for more than just water, it can also counter fire. Plus fire wont be as effective because its part water type.

Lotad is better than Seedot because Ludicolo is sooo much moore useful than Shirfty, better typing stats, moves, ability, everything. I guess that is why Ludicolo is so useful and is in essential in rain teams, even though it is in Tier NU xD

In my opinion I like Lotad. the designs are better, plus you can use a water stone and evolve lombre into ludicolo. Which can set up for a good rain team later on and can learn both water and grass moves, which are useful in 2 of the 4 elite four

Lotad's final evolution, Ludicolo, has less weaknesses than Shiftry. Shiftry, though, has way more. Ludicolo's typing cancels out each type's weaknesses, and makes their damage neutral. Though Shiftry has 3 more resistances than Ludicolo, Ludicolo has 4 less weaknesses.

Stat wise, Shiftry is better at attack, and Ludicolo is better at defense. Shiftry is a risky choice, while Ludicolo is safer. Though I'd prefer using Ludicolo.

I'd rather have Lotad for many reasons. Plus Lotad is all derpy looking and evolves into the silliest thing ever
