They are the practically the same character, so the fight would be very close. The only real difference is that Dark Pit has a slightly weaker forward tilt attack than Pit, but it isn't really significant enough to effect the outcome of the fight. Looking just at stats, Pit should win because of the small bit of extra power, but honestly the fight would be very close with no definite winner. Hope I helped!

Victory does not depend of who's facing who. Something along the lines of what J9 said, victory depends on how good you are with a character. Just because some Charizard player spams Fire Blitz doesn't mean he can beat a player with experience of Smash and Jigglypuff.

It depends how good the person is with the character since there almost the same

Dark Pit because he has a longer flight time then pit does so he can just fly up top and collect a bunch of items. But Pit also does have slightly stronger attacks than Dark Pit it would be a really close fight. Why don't we all run like three matches of level 9 cpu's of each and put them on the Kid Icarus stage with all Items on abd see who wins the mist 3 minute matches.

The characters stats are really close, so it will basically be a close fight. Again, it all comes to skills with a character, because each fighter is unique to the players abilities. That is exactly why I do not believe in tier lists. There really is no certain winner, so all it can be determined by is by the players skills and how the character is used.
