Im looking for someone (or more people) who does speedruns for Legend of Zelda games.
I really like doing speedruns, my best speedrun is 6:34:48 on The Wind Waker any%.
If someone like doing these things, please reply! :]

I also speedrun zelda games. My best time is 4:45:34 on Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess. But after speed running the game i like going back and actually playing the game and experience the story.

I attempted to speed-run Wind Waker........ When I hit 7 Hours and was only a bit over halfway I just quit :3

ok im sick of people who say they can beat oot in 8-9 minutes. ok heres whats wrong with that. first off the cutscenes alone are like 1-3 minutes. now that leaves 5-6 minutes. now then you have traveling through the field, thats like 20-30 seconds a trip, give or take. and thier are over 15 trips you gotta take. also the temples to, even if you know where every item is, you still gotta do all that stuff, and thats gonna take like a minute a temple, give or take. and since thiers 8 adult temples, and 3 kid temples. thier is no physical way to beat oot in less then 9 minutes.

Yep alot of people say they can speedrun it in 8 minutes it took me about 8 hours to beat oot. 4 hour to beat TP. And it took me 6 hours to beat WW

i think you got that mixed around. you could definitly beat oot alot faster then twilight princess. and tbh im supprised you have 6 hours on windwaker, but know its possible. now beating windwaker in just 30 minutes is beyond impposible. id laugh if someone said they beat windwaker in 8 minutes.

i like how many people like speedruns! :D
you guys can find my on skype: Dylan Lammerse

XD it's because I got stuck in alot of the dungeons.

possible ways to beat a game:

Any%, or fastest completion, refers to completing the game as quickly as possible.

100%, or full completion, requires the player to complete the game to its fullest. This often includes collecting all key items or upgrades, finding all secret features, or anything else that may be deemed important. Specific requirements for a 100% speedrun are different depending on the game.

Low%, or minimalist completion, requires the player to complete the game without obtaining any key items or upgrades. If the fastest way to complete the game already involves the player not to pick up any key items or upgrades, a low% category may not exist for that game's speedruns. As with the 100%, low% speedruns have requirements that vary from game to game.

Speedruns are very fun to some people and though I tried it in many attempts I felt really bored so I would usually quit very soon . I would really love to do that someday but I don't have alot of time . I like to enjoy exploring and taking my time in many Zelda games and experience the story and do some other fun stuff than do speedruns . I congradulate all who done that and of course who doesn't do speedruns in MM :hilarious:

Well i can understand your logic, however it could be possible if you were SUPER fast and used the glitch that allows you to beat the game as young link. Also speedrunners don't usually start the timer during the cutscenes...i think.

Anyways
I sometimes like to attempt my own speedruns, some through glitches and some without. I finished A link to the past in ten minutes which isn't really fast since I used the glitch.
I also tried to speedrun temples in MM but really failed at those.

well what i mean is without the use of glitchs. some guy claimed he did on youtube. but when he was doing it most of the game was cut. like 1 minute he was doing kokiri forest. then it skipped to like the 1:30 mark and he was fighting gohma. then at like 3:00 he was meeting ganon on his horse. thats what grinds my gears is that video. and the sad thing is people believed in it.

I really like speedrunning some games, doubt I'll ever be able to speedrun any Zelda games though. They're so big and use a ton of really hard glitches to go fast that I've never been able to pull off.

There's a glitch before the deku tree dungeon that allows you to instantly go to the last part of the game where you defeat Gannon, it's extremely hard to do though...

To be 100% honest with you speed runs arent my thing and neither are many other peoples. Especially for Zelda games, now for mario as in one level and seeing if you can beat it under a minute or 2 or 3, that itself is fun, but on a full out Zelda game.. uhhh:meh: Not exactly my cup of coffe, Zelda is supposed to be a puzzle adventure game, all those doors and switches and bosses and stuff, speaking of bosses, boss runs are cool, just not "Game speed runs"

I tried speed-running the first Zelda game on my first playthrough, but once I reached the 4 hour mark, I deemed it unworthy. Moral of the Story: Speedrunning a game with no guides before you've even played it is not a good idea.
