I think mario and little mac

You mean Dr Mario and little Mac. Dr Mario's recovery is meant for strength. Mario's recovery goes a little farther and higher than Dr. Mario's.

oh ok thanks

Ok, I just love Lucas and Ness! But when I comes to their recoveries... I am speechless. It's just so hard for me to use! Having to perfectly time the PK Thunder to send you rocketing into the a mere 2 feet. Are you kidding me? Seriously, I would main Lucas for sure but it's recovery is just so bad! I main Villager because its recovery is soooooo good! I also love ACNL if you couldn't already tell seeing my Avatar and signature!

Ness and Lucas' recoveries are actually pretty decent in its length imo. It's just how that people can easily interrupt it or it's easy for it to go wrong that makes it a tricky recovery; and I like that :p Lucas can also use his Rope Snake to perform a tether recovery instead which makes it a really easy and safe alternative to recovering (Lucas is alot better than Ness xD)

lol Villager's recovery you don't have to try

Ya I guess you're right ^.^
Little Mac is the worst come to think of it! It's just really annoying getting your recovery interrupted when using Ness and Lucas, like you said. lol with Villager there's no trying involved! This really doesn't have anything to do with the current conversation but I just love the Villagers Tree move!! It sends opponents flying if you time it right when you water it and when you chop it down! It's 2 whole new smash moves :D

I know that Little Mac and Dr. Mario's recoveries are bad, but if you think about it, they both have wall jumps, and their down B's can help with recovery as well. For example, Dr. Mario's tornado can help him rise especially with a wall. Little Mac can avoid a gimp with counter, and it moves him towards the attack direction. Then, he can wall jump to up-B.

However, certain omega stages cannot be used to walljump putting them at a disadvantage.

Hence why I noted they have horrible recovery. Other characters like C. Falcon and Ganondorf, and Donkey Kong have bad recoveries as well. Captain Falcon's doesn't go very high, but can be reused when grabbing an opponent. Same with Ganondorf, however, it has slightly less height than C. Falcon's but has a final hit at the end of move. Donkey Kong has a great horizontal recovery, which is better than Bowser's horizontal recovery, but lacks the rise it needs. Bowser has a better vertical recovery when mashing B while rising, so Bowser's could be better if not for his slow air speed.

Captain falcon's recovery may not go that high, but his speed in the air makes up for that. His speed makes him get close to the edge balancing it a bit. Ganondorf on the other hand goes high, but slow in the air making it so it's harder to recover as him since he sometimes just doesn't get enough distance. Donkey Kong is a really strong ape with a really strong skull. Even though he doesn't go high, he can still recover much more easily than ganondorf if used earlier. His speed makes up for his recovery. Donkey Kong also stays in the air longer than bowser. Of course, bowser needs a disadvantage for being really strong and dealing so much knockback. So his recovery is bad.

Little Mac and Dr.Mario have the two worst recoveries they're both meant for power instead of actual hight

Every character has different levels of recovery on different ways like their first jump, the second jump and etc. For example some characters up special moves might not be as much recovery as wanted but their first and double jump might go pretty high like Lucas and Ness for example, their up b moves don't really boost them but their first and second jump have good recovery. Also some characters up b can only go in one direction and make it poor recovery if you are facing the wrong way. Also some characters recovery will make you move the joystick to extend it or control it. With thinking all of this in mind their is a lot of characters with bad recovery in all of these categories so I would say these characters have the worst recovery; Ness, little Mac, Dr. Mario and a lot more, not just certain characters have bad recovery they all have bad recovery in different ways.

You've made a little error here. You don't use the first jump to recover. You only use the second Jump to recover.

Ok I guess I'll keep that in mind...you see I always judged characters recovery by their jumps and would always jump then double jump and do the up special but I am not a expert at this game yet so I guess that is good advice if your stating it in that way but I'm sorry for that error.

It's OK because at first I thought you were stating that you can jump twice and use the Up B to recover. That's what I got from it.

I would say that in terms of control(because if we're going by heigh, the worst recovery would obviously be Little Mac's,and possibly Dr.Mario's),Diddy Kong,Ness and Lucas have the worst recovery at their disposal.
Once your some inches under the platform's ledge,Diddy Kong will most likely have a hard time to recover with his wooden jetpack, because one,you have to try to make the longest charge possible while avoiding to fall down for real, and two, because of the pressure you're getting to just release that button since you're not aware at what point you have to do it in order to succeed in the recovery, you often end up almost reaching the ledge, but not too much to actually reach it.Not to mention, that it is very hard and loose to control. :bear:
Ness's and Lucas's speaks for itself, because you have to control this "energy ball-like" thing to hit the character right below him,and if you slip up in the direction, you end up going in a direction that doesn't help you at all.It also has the same problem as Diddy's,with the whole preparation and luck to reach the ground's ledge with success, but if you don't hit Ness or Lucas at all, they just simply fall down, and you can consider yourself screwed over.Oh,and if the ball hits something else, you're doomed as well in the air.

Ness and Little Mac have the worst recovery in my opinion. Being Ness, you have to hit yourself in order to recover and I never play as Ness so I always forget D: I don't even need to explain Little Mac, he can barely jump, :bag: His recovery is better at killing people than saving himself. xD Recoveries aren't everything though imo, people have different play styles and may want to keep on the ground while fighting while others want to beat up people in the air. (me :p )

We all know that Little Mac's recovery is terrible. But lets give this guy a break, shall we? Imo, Diddy Kong has a pretty bad recovery. Sure you can do the side b and follow it up with the up b, but remember that there is a certain moment when the game allows you to follow it up. Think of it as using Fox's Fox Illusion and then try to follow it up with the Up b. You realize that you can't do that right away after the side b finishes. Once the game allows you to, you already lost some height, increasing your chances of not grabbing the ledge when using the Up b.
