i thought it was quite weird. also i would not suggest watching at midnight. also i would not suggest for small children as it get scary at some times. also some thing weird is that they made trading cards about this movie.

That's enough to tell me this is a really bad idea lol I mean, a) it's from the 90's and a lot of movies from the 90's really aren't that good, and b) Mario as a science fiction thing? Sounds like fan fiction.

I watched this when I was a kid. My mind has blocked most of it.
I love Notalgia's Critic review of it. :wacky:

I remember the movie... I liked it... Is it bad of me if I say I own the movie on DVD? I hope I don't get looks of digust.

I heard originally they were gonna go in a completely different direction with the movie. Also Bob Hoskins, the guy who played Mario in that film, never talks about this film if you ask him about his movie career.

It's true, there was a different take on it at first. One of the recent issues of Nintendo Force has an article on it. Even though I think that magazine is quite poor, the article itself was pretty good.

Also they were going to have different actors to play the people. For example, Danny DeVito was originally going to play Mario but they couldn't get him for the movie.

I don't think it is bad for you to say that. There is a difference between how you qualify a movie and how much you like it. While both things affect each other to a point you can't say it is the same.

I still enjoy the 80's-90's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, even though I can see how corny and outdated it is now. Likewise I enjoy movies I can see they are not really that great but they have a charm to me, perhaps because they were part of my childhood or there's simply something. So I really don't think anyone smart will play the snobbish card on you.

I know. I was just being silly when I said that.

I still like Who Framed Roger Rabbit? but I think that is only because I still like cartoons. :p There are some good movies out there that I would watch over and over again. As I said before, I wasn't being serious with the "looks of digust" thing. :)

That is Okay. I still wanted to validate my own insecurities by giving your post a positive reply, I mean... I thought I'd be good to reassure other people in our situation that it is fine... yeah...

Oh I see. It's fine. Everyone has a cheesy movie they will watch over and over again even though you grow old and find that it isn't as great as they remembered it was.

huh... Looks very interesting (lol) I will probably end up watching the movie but it also looks kind of weird... And THAT is supposed to be a Goomba? Hilarious. I wonder how much money they had to pay Nintendo to make it.
