who is ashes father

is he a gym leader (probably not) or is he on some sort of journey thaat nobody knows about? In the anime it never said and in the movies we never saw him. So i have a question for you. Who do you think is ashes father? Please put in the comments below and have a good day

In Japan (The birthplace of Nintendo) fathers tend work late hours, meaning Ash's father is the late to rest early to rise kida fella, but I read this in an article on the internet so I am not hundred percent sure.
 
I've watched a few theory videos on this, and a few of them give good evidence pointing towards this guy,image.png , Bruno of the Kanto Elite Four, being Ash's Dad.

I always thought his dad was Red, you know cause kids follow in the steps of their parents and his mom said that it took his a day longer to reach the Town Ash went to.

But this doesn't make since because that would make Brock and Misty old.
 
Hello, you have a really good question. I've never seen him in animes before but I think he is a very good pokemon trainer maybe a leader in a region in which ash never went on. Perhaps her mother told him he won't see his father if he doesn't become one of the best trainers in the world. Or he was dead before Ash's born
