Who is better Tyranitar or Aggron?

I have been wondering and me and my friend have been arguing about it for some time now and so I wanted to find out who is better?To me it is Tyranitar,he has a good moveset and stats and even though he has a lot of weaknesses like aggron he won't go down easy.Plus to me all of tyranitar's stats are better only that the sp.def is better than tyranitar.

I would say tyranitar because i have a shiny level 100 tyranitar and lv. 100 aggron. they both mega evolve but i mega evolved tyranitar against an arceus and i actually beat the arceus with 232 hp left. i battled the same person again with aggron on my team and aggron lost. the arceus won with full hp.

while that is true, it depends on the arceus type matchup and I don't think that one battle alone can truly determine it. Plus I go easy on aggron since his type doesn't match up with tyranitar's well. I'm looking more towards base stats, and even aesthetics before taking a single battle to be the end all. Like for instance, I love aggron's mega form, its powerfully defensive, having a maxxed out physical defense statistic, plus it looks like an armored samurai dinosaur
