Why Can't I rank up in C.O.D Ghosts Local MP?

As the title explains, I really dont know why I am not ranking up in C.O.D Local MP. I play with bots and friends. Is it because I have not made a PSN account yet?

P.S I play C.O.D in PS4

It doesnt matter if you have a account, you can't rank up in Local multiplayer because its meant for those without internet, think of it as a private match, you can't rank up. If you have a account and want to rank up with bots then play Squads mode. Its easy and you wont get beaten by tryhards or other players, just you and pure bots
