I have been meaning to speak about this for a long time and I think now is the time. As some of you can't tell I am not as good at smash 3ds as I was in the past. The reason for this is my circle pad is messed up. Meaning my low jumps aren't low jumps. Also is that I'm too used to playing in lag all the time since Japanese FG people have the best connection ever! Oh and if people repeatedly leave, just leave it have a lag fest.

For the low hop issue, it would help to transition to jump buttons, they help with short hopping and let's you use the circle pad more freely. As for the lag, I think that's just an issue with the Internet. I think there's a pinned thread about reducing lag on this forum so you could check that out?

I forgot to mention my l and r are broken

Try using the X button to jump? Just tap it for a hop, I think. I always prefer digital inputs if the option is there.

As for the rest, I think the Circle Pad does pretty well for the 3DS version for dashing and dropping.

My l and r are broken so my x and y are my block and grab

I really like using the circle pad on the 3DS version. I don't really us low jumps very much and I have gotten so used to using the circle pad on 3DS I would have a tough time getting used to a different controller.

Every once in a while when I decide to change from home-console Smash to handheld Smash,it takes a matter of minutes until I get used to play with the Circle Pad,so it's not much of a problem for me,even with it's minor flaws, like precise jumps. It's an alright joystick to play the game personaly, even if the factor that you can't change to move with the D-pad and that there have been reports of Circle Pads breaking from playing the game ever since the demo's release is probaly the major reason why many people play the Wii U version instead.
