Mario Kart Why is MK that good?

Don't get me wrong, I love playing Mario Kart, but why do people get so obsessed over it?

It's a racing game that has tons of people playing on it, any specific reasons? Please feel free to list below.
 
Mariokart is the best racer out there because
-it has Mario characters, which makes it extremely popular
-the stages are each unique and aren't bland like some realistic race games can get
-the items are fun to use and make it fun to play the game even when you aren't the best
-it has cool music LOL

Just ask yourself, why do you like mariokart? This is why I like it.
 
Just drifting is fun, being in first is fun, being a coin hog and hitting people with items is fun, you can always better or at least keep consistent with your times in TT, it's multiplayer, the list goes on.
 
  • The music is outstanding (especially in Mario Kart 8)
  • It's fast paced and exciting
  • The items are easy to use for beginners but also can be used extremely skillfully
  • Mario.
  • There's only one every few years, so people don't get tired of it. *Cough* Need for Speed *Cough*

Although I don't really consider Mario Kart a racing game really.

Like most other popular games, it's because of the amount of fun you get with other people through multiplayer.
 
MK makes racing games fun! The multiplayer and tournaments makes MK really good, lots of people love to participate and have a good time! even if you don't win! :p

I love Mario Kart 8 and the Mario Kart series because you can play with people on 3DSPedia, your friends, or anyone else in the world and it never gets old because they keep introducing new stages, new levels and better graphics as they make the games!


Who else thinks the horn is useless though... :banghead::banghead::banghead:

No I am not talking about the Super Horn, that's pretty cool, I am talking about the horn button when your driving on the GamePad, that seems entirely useless to me.

I see. I guess it's like taunting in Smash Bros. You could horn other people to tease them. That is, unless the sound only comes from the gamepad.

It attracts people because of it's uniqueness, you won't find creative tracks in another racing game, or amazing items in a normal racing game, the game is exhilarating, and you never get tired of the series, because every new game brings something new, and innovative!

Mario Kart 7 is a simple racing game and that's what makes it so fun. It doesn't have the complex driving mechanics other racing games (try to) implement. The environments and characters are all from the same Mario universe which we love and enjoy. The soundtracks are upbeat and make you want to race. The whole game is just a lot of fun and has a lot of replayability.

It is so good because of the items that you can get and use on other racers. If the items were removed, I would probably stop buying the mario kart games. I also think its popular because it is very easy to drift. The game is mostly targeted to kids too. It is also has characters that we know from the mario series.

The game is actually very fun to play, not to mention that it is also easy to pick up and play, which is what many people want from a game. It is a nice game to make you relax a bit and it's even better when playing with other friends. The characters also make this game 'Mario Kart'

Mario Kart is really good because it makes racing so fun. It includes characters that people would find their favorite. The stages are so unique and challenging that it would make you competitive and interested in racing. Its really fun to race your friends on your favorite courses also...playing alone isn't all that fun. The designs are very pretty and cool depending on the course you are playing...I love cute designs.

Mario Kart is definitely one of the best racers around, it's fun, fast-paced, random and chaotic, I see no flaws in the games tbh, plus, it has PLENTY of space left for innovation.

Well, for one, many people have fond memories of playing it with their friends and family when they were kids, and they want to share those memories with others as they grow older. For another thing, the game is fun, action packed, and engaging, which is more than a lot of games can say these days. Mario Kart rarely if ever disappoints, which is why its fanbase is always very excited when a new game is released. These are just a few of the reasons that people love Mario Kart!

Mario Kart is not like any other racing games. Its special...

- It has awesome catchy music!!
- The courses have special shortcuts and are just awesome in general.
- There are mario characters (and more!) which is so cool.!
- The music is awesome!
- The whole racing thing is action packed and very fun.
