Why would amiibo make people happy? I think its a great idea. But some people think its a waste of time. If u guys think its a good idea or a bad idea please feel free to tell me in the comment section. I'm also gonna put a poll so if u guys want to make your opinion online please comment and do the poll. See u later elf's!

Well amiibo is a great thing. I for one think that it will help me beat a friend I only beat once and the rest I'd lose.

I honestly think it would be really cool to use, except that the games from then on since Amiibo is released may pester you to buy it or make difficulty spikes so you either have to grind endlessly or buy one.

I think it would be a cool idea for amiibos to be used with the wii u, it would be like adding dlc or content to a game! Plus I heard that it will also be for 3ds too by using some peripheral.

I think they will be compatible with the 3DS since it also has built in NFC features (I'm not sure though). It could be something that is fun to use, but not necessarily useful. It's also too pricey for me to consider using it (it's been estimated to be around ~US$15), especially if I want more than one. I'll stay away for now, but if it's worth the money, I might pick one up later on.

It sounds alright, but I'll never purchase any of it, even if it comes to the 3DS (and if I recall right it probably will).

Someone should probably clean up a certain someones posts in this thread.

I think amiibo is going to fail terribly and just be a money loss for Nintendo. What they showed of it in Smash Bros. looked useless and I can only imagine they'll mess it up somehow with Mario Kart 8.

Amiibo is a great innovative way to interact with your games. I think this will have a good amount of sales. I know lot's of people right now are a bit iffy about Amiibo (Exhibit A: @Dragovian ), but I bet if they try it out then it will be well worth their time!

I think it is a great improvement to the game! (Its too bad if they won't participate in that... :/) wish the 3DS would have that feature though! I'm sure Nintendo's next handheld will

They announced that they're making a peripheral that allows the use of amiibo figures on the 3DS family.

I'm not sure how useful they'll be, but they look cool, so I'll get one for my shelf, and hopefully get some good use of it. I haven't really gotten hang on the use of them yet though. Was it something about upgrading your character and using it as a bot for training/showing off at your friends place? I think that's how a friend told me, but I wasn't all that interested at the time.

In terms of leveling up Amiibo, It's basically like pokemon. With that mindset, I bet a lot of skeptical people who are pokemon fans will want Amiibo. And remember: Hate at first sight is doubt lol.

EDIT: I just realized that you can only level up Amiibo in SSB4. Hopefully this feature will come for other games.

I think amibo is only good for Nintendo, it's clearly a gimmick to earn more money

I agree, plus im sure with the leveling system of amiibo for SSB3DS/WII U, friends can send their respective amiibos out into battle (kind of like a pokemon battle!)

I think it's a nice little touch, if anything the figures look just plain awesome. I'd buy them even without the amiibo feature.

Because the NES Zapper isn't a Wii U accessory and I love Duck Hunt so I will get a DHD Amiibo. (and there are plenty of pro gamers/kids out there that want this stuff and it's a great investment for Nintendo to test out rather than a new IP, bring out and old one like say Kid Icarus and add something new and people might want to try it out to squeeze the most out of the one or two games they love playing the most so it's perfect for Smash where it can be the only game you want for a system. Now that they don't need link cables anymore they need new accessories for people to buy. I know I want to see how this turns out and it's not the idea that's bad but it might be the game that is for the accessories to not sell)
