Nintendo has released today the official numbers for 3DS and Wii U sales, up until June 30th:
In my opinion, the attach rate for MK8 is phenominal and Splatoon is selling incredibly well, I believe it should be around 2 million sold at this point, a month later. 10 million units sold is decent for how poorly Wii U has sold while 3DS is doing very well.

Pokemon ORAS - 10.27 million
Super Mario 3D Land - 10.10 million
New Super Mario Bros. 2 - 9.32 million
Animal Crossing: New Leaf - 9.17 million
Super Smash 3DS - 7.04 million
Wii U Software: 61m
Mario Kart 8 - 5.43 million
Nintendo Land - 4.88 million
New Super Mario Bros. U - 4.84 million
Super Mario 3D World - 4.3 million
Super Smash Wii U - 3.83 million
Splatoon - 1.62 million
Wii U Hardware:
Hardware Sales (Q1) — 470,000 units
Hardware Sales (life to date) — 10.01 million units
Hardware Sales Projection (2015 to 2016) — 3.4 million units
3DS Hardware:
Hardware Sales (Q1) — 1.01 million units
Hardware Sales (life to date) — 53.07 million units
Hardware Sales Projection (2015 to 2016) — 7.6 million units
Wii Hardware:
Hardware Sales (Q1) — 40,000 units
Hardware Sales (life to date) — 101.56 million units
Hardware Sales Projection (2014 to 2015) — 100,000 units
