Will we see the return of the mic?

Of course this is a good question for any game but believe it or not the mic was used in the Famicom version of LoZ and I found it as an obscure fact you'd like to know.
Personally I'd like more Zelda games to experiment with the microphone. There are so many uses you can come up with for it but it wouldn't be a good thing if the mic was abused and used too much.

That's pretty amazing. I didn't even know the Famicom had a mic-support controller until now

Its use in the DS games was problematic because the mic of the DS I originally played it on didn't work, and there wasn't any way to get past a story point except use the mic (you had to call to be heard over a gate, I think.)
The 3DS's mic is really small, so 'blow into the mic' is pretty much never used in 3DS games. I'd be all right with them trying to get us to interact more by using our voice to shout over barriers and stuff, like in Phantom Hourglass, but there should be an alternate option for 3DS owners who don't want to use the mic - tapping a 'Call' icon on the touchscreen or something. >.<

I have played some games on the DS that had chat with the mic, but it was hard to use and didn't transfer sounds all that well. I think that the New Zelda games on the 3DS would be cool if it required or used the mic in the storyline. It would be nice for multiplayer Zelda games, so you could talk with your companions.

I'm not really sure if the mic function would be really cool to have it. The DS Zelda games both did have some sort of function with the mic, like blowing off fire in PH and that Wind Tornado thing in SP that requires you to blow to use . Those were some really unique uses so I guess maybe a tiny feature or two in new Zelda games might be cool, though I wouldn't say it would be needed at all :p
