worst offer you've seen on GTS?

I've seen some very goofy offers on GTS in pokemon x and y.... the worst one I saw (in my opinion) was somebody offering a magikarp asking for a diancie. I made a post about this on miiverse and it got fast attention. I think this is a silly offer to make, I mean, who would do it? Nobody I know...

I understand. A lot of people are frustrated by this, myself included.

People really can't expect they're going to receive a Xerneas for a Froakie. For those of us who don't hack our games to pieces, Xerneas is pretty rare, and it isn't fair to expect someone to trade what might very we'll be their only Xerneas for a starter. I'm not dissing Froakie or anything, I just think people should offer their pokémon for what they're actually worth – a low-level starter for another low-level starter, a legendary for a high-level pokémon or another legendary, etcetera.

The only thing I find worse than this is when people offer their pokémon for legendaries that can't be traded, or can't exist without being hacked (ex. a Xerneas between levels 1 and 10).

I'm not sure if they're doing it intentionally to show off their Pokémon or use it for extra storage, or if they're genuinely unaware that these pokémon either can't exist without being hacked into the game or can't be traded...

either way, it needs to stop. I think Nintendo should restrict people from asking for pokémon that can't be traded via GTS. That way, the GTS will be less crowded, and people will undeestand that certain pokémon can't be traded there.

I agree wholeheartedly. It's silly. And it might aggrivate people. And not just that... people are offering pokemon with ugly names with swear words in them, which are sometimes mispelled so it isn't detected by the game. Some of these words have exact and correct spelling that I think were put up by hackers. So watch the name before you trade!

I know exactly what you mean. Don't type "Jirachi" in the search section on the GTS, unless you want to see a ton of cloned pokémon bearing obscene names. It doesn't stop with Jirachi, either... there are tons of them on the GTS now.

Oh, I know! And I don't like that at all. It's just being downright rude and disrespectful to the other players. And what about young children? If they see these things, they might repeat it! I really wish the people doing this would think about that. I personally think nearly everything has gone completely haywire on GTS, looking at all of this. I might actually call Nintendo and complain about this. Hopefully they can help resolve this...

A better question is, who WOULDNT trade a silly little diancie for a magikarp. Magikarp is easily the most op pokemon ever created. Magikarp is love. Magikarp is life. :D

In all seriousness though, I've seen someone asking for a Victini and offering up a Zigzagoon

I agree! My little sister has Pokémon Y and Alpha Sapphire, and she's been on the GTS. She's seen the sort of words people use to name their pokémon.
I think that if people want to hack their pokémon's names and change them to something obscene, they should keep it in their game. There's no reason to clone it, spread it around on the GTS (or anywhere else), and repeat the aforementioned process with some other vulgarly-named pokémon. It isn't fair to the kids – or anyone else.

That doesn't sound much better.... I actually saw somebody post on miiverse saying that offers like this do get traded. I think they were making it up, though. I really don't see how somebody could get away with this unless they were lucky enough to get it in wonder trade, which would probably never happen.

I couldn't agree more. It's not fair at all. But unfortunately the people doing this don't give a darn and are doing this so they can not only rip everyone off, but also make them mad. I sure hope your sister didn't repeat those words... I had a 6 year old nephew who repeated swear words from a movie he watched. His mother asked him where he heard that and he said from a movie. The reason I am saying this is because there are many other kids out there like him who will not only act out what they see, but also repeat what they hear--including foul language. These people need to set a good example for kids. The more people that there are doing this, the more people there will be who start doing this. And obviously that only makes things much worse.

Most offers when I went on the GTS were pretty unfair asking for some rare legendary pokemon for some easily caught pokemon that you get but now more people are into pokemon so I would expect the number of stupid offers to increase as well as fair offers.

You're probably right about that... But again, if no one will do it, what's the point? People who make these unfair (and silly) offers need to stop. It's very annoying. And as I said before, there's no point in doing it if nobody wants to take the offer. Personally I view that as a waste of time. I just don't get it... it just doesn't make sense to me...

I've seen some similiar offers. Some very ridicullous but what is worse is when they offer a pokemon I really want or need for something and what they is... some kind of legendary or starter. And not only that! Their levels have to be between 1 and 10 like, is that even possible?? Only if with hacked pokemons I guess, but even that must be hard because I myself used hacked pokemons once and trading them wasn't really that easy or possible. Or even worse is when, for example, you search for a pokemon like Staravia and sometimes you see another pokemon, for example a Magikarp, with the name Staravia. Like, ok... What the hell??
Actually, I think that in my Heart Gold game I asked for a pokemon (I don't remember this) and what I got was a completely different pokemon with the name of the pokemon I wanted, I was like.... What? -.- That is so ridicullous...

what the heck? that's gotta be hacks and mods. there's no other way to do that! i've never had that problem, though.

Oh yea and BTW the Pokémon I saw that were the worst trades was for a Victini for a Dialga. That is just ridiculous because a Diagla is hard to get: Have a lvl100 Pokémon on your team :O and only Palkia for Omega and Dialga for Alpha I think or vice versa. I guess you could breed Victinis but not worth it.

People ask too much and they take it to the next level. Everytime I go to the GTS and look for a Pokemon that I need, I see bizarre results. Once I was looking for a Mudkip because I needed it for the pokedex and I see people offering that Pokemon hoping to get a Latias, Kyogre Rayquaza or any other legendary. Some of them are available in game. Whats even more bizarre is that the pokemon is Level 1, could have bad IVs and not shiny so its not worth it.

My guess that people do this goofy GTS trading stuff is for extra space, maybe their PC is just filled up. They obviously don't expect a Pidgey for an Arceus. It does add that 1 extra space for those who really want to catch them all

A few weeks ago, I saw that someone had offered a Delibird, wanting a Diancie. I laughed, thinking "seriously?" as I looked at several other random Pokemon, all with people wanting Arceus's, Mews, Diancies, and the like. It is just stupid. Nowadays, I never even use the GTS anymore. It's pretty much just scam-land. :/

Some person on XY:

Asked for: Arceus- lv. 100, any gender.

In return: Fletchinder- lv. 32, male.

Message: '6 ivs plz'
__________

Yeah... I've seen other ridiculous offers on the GTS. It's perfectly normal, though. The one listed above was just one of the funniest encounters I've had lol.

I know how you guys feel, the ones I hate are the ones that ask for the Pokémon they are trading, why not just keep it?

Also when traders ask for level 1 legendary Pokémon or finale forms of Pokémon to be level 1 which is impossible.

Well heres one I saw that was just stupid:
want:
Shaymin lvl.100
Modest nature
5IV

In return,.you'll get:
Sprizee, lvl 14 (no shiny nor holding Sharchet)

Really?

@Bartman33 I know those trades are unfair and are ridiculous. That's why I prefer to Wonder Trade. Sure there's a chance to get the same Pokémon over and over again but there's also the chance of getting some good Pokémon.
