I know but it surprise me that Microsoft accepted

Well, could be they're trying to act like 'friendly rivals.' After all, they're not saying, "Buy this new Zelda game!" They're just saying what their favourite is.

That fail :rotfl:... But at least, that's friendly, and proves us once again that people who fight "because their console" are better are just stupid.

Another misleading title lol. I opened this thinking they'd made an actual advert for a Zelda game, not asked a simple question on twitter. I don't really see anything wrong with them asking their fan base which Zelda game is their favourite, they know that not all of their customers are xbox exclusive users.

Well, I think that it's a great move by Microsoft. I know they are competitors but one should always speak freely about a good game even if it belongs to their rivals.

That's what I was about to say :(

Anyway, does anyone think that Nintendo and Microsoft will collaborate? Nah, never.

But maybe Sony and Nintendo will collaborate to make the ultimate gaming team. Lol, If Microsoft bought Nintendo then they would have to give me one of two things. 1. Keep the Wii U selling and it's games or 2. Give me a free Xbox one. Doubt that'll happen though.

I have a better idea. Sony + Nintendo + Microsoft. That's what I would call an epic team. But the price for their consoles would be high, I suppose.

I saw that too. There is nothing wrong with another company liking another's game. Even workers play different games, and Zelda is one of them.

Well, this is certainly interesting. LoZ is pretty popular, so this is no surprise. Nice to see they like their rivals game! seems sorta weird though. :p

I find it wierd that Microsoft is sort of supporting their rival, Nintendo. It kind of made me think that they have something in common, like they are trying to support eachother. Well, it looks like enemies can also be friends at some points. Still a bit weird though.

Who knows. It could be XBox trying to suck up to Nintendo, or it simply could just be someone over at Microsoft actually likes Zelda. It's not out of the realm of possibilities. Just like how regular people can play games from different companies, so can devs and workers at certain game companies.

Well, I don't know what you feel about this, but I think that Nintendo and Microsoft aren't competitors.

Microsoft and Sony are, because they are both doing the same thing, which is trying to get PC games run on dedicated hardware and software with graphic performance in mind (without being better than PCs lol) and with some exclusive titles sometimes, while Nintendo is doing something else in parallel, which is trying to run exclusive games only, optimized for outdated but unique and cheap hardware with fun in mind, with some generic titles sometimes too.

Basically, if the XBox died, no one would care that much since most games would still be out PS (and Halo could be a PC franchise (which would be better considering it's an FPS, better played with a mouse...)) so Sony is a competitor. But if Nintendo dies, it's not the XBox that will fill the gap. You don't replace Smash with SoulCalibur, Splatoon with Battlefield, Mario Kart with NeedForSpeed, etc.

I mean, it's as if a cereal brand was saying good things about a meat brand. They both sell food but you won't replace one with the other, so they are not competitors and can talk about each other without any interference.

I agree. Nintendo, while in for the money, is also in for the fun part! Still, I wouldn't dismiss the possibility of a Nintendo and Microsoft collaboration. I doubt there will be one with SONY though! Also, just as you said, Nintendo aims for exclusivity, even making their consoles with different contractors. For example, the 3DS processor is made by a small Japanese company, while the PS4 is AMD based! It's more like the other companies are imitating it instead of competing with it. They already have the majority of the market, so now they are just looking for more ideas, even recycling some, in order to develop their systems more. Regardless, an imitation of the touch system and controls, for instance, is just to enhance the gameplay and not to steal customers away!

Yeah I agree completely. People like to act like Nintendo is for babies, but if Nintendo was gone. Video games would NOT be the same. Nothing that Sony or Microsoft can do could fill Nintendo's gap.
And people also like to act that Nintendo is going down the toilet. But seriously? Has anyone seen what Sony and Microsoft have been doing? The Xbox ONE an PS4 are absolute trash. Just about everything on them is on PC. You can't say the same for Nintendo. Maybe if they made stuff for PC that would get them more money, but then they'd be no better then Sony or Microsoft, also just about everything Nintendo makes is designed for a console... I don't think any of their games would be the same on PC.

But yeah I can't see Nintendo ever forming an alliance with Microsoft or Sony. Remember when Sony tried to buy Zelda from Nintendo...boy, that was cute...
If Nintendo is smart, they'll leave Sony and Microsoft to battle it out and stand aside and be different like it always has been.

Xbox have done this a lot. They are gamers too. They are just sharing info about the team.

Other games they mentioned before was Mario Kart, Mario World, Street Fighter and a lot of other Nintendo games.

And yes, Xbox is more friendly towards its competitors than PlayStation. Like that one time at E3
when Xbox said "We are proud to be here along with Nintendo and PlayStation to give gamers what they want"

PlayStation just cares about being on top.

Xbox cares only about being at the top too, but they don't even try to consider themselves rivals with Nintendo. Also, about that quote, you probably can't see how pretentious it is!
