soo ive noticed that almost every guide on powerlevelling in this game says 'fight this lv 90 or 100+ unique monster' ... and while this might be the quickest way, its not exactly ideal for people who arent experts at a game like this or for people who lack the items and chips+ almost certainly high levels needed to achieve this without an excess of deaths. i am not a flawless player at this game myself so i can understand that while these methods are generally effective, theyre not really ideal for an average level or less skilled player to attempt pulling off. but i personally found a couple great enemies throughout the game that give nice exp (and some great item drops too!) that do not require expert skill level or superboss/ endgame chips and such or a near mandatory level 80+. i will describe them below and my personal methods of tackling these to grind easily and effectively
the first and definitely most easily accessible is the pink mahli pippito (a small squirrel like creature from my perspective in terms of description, theyre cute and easy to spot haha). these creatures dont seem to have high damage at all even in some later areas where theyre generally the same kind of enemy/ subspecies with a different color pattern and name, the worst thats happened when i fight these is getting paralyzed but its very random and not common enough to worth much about. they mostly hop about and are rather dodgy so make sure you can super dps them with kos mos or another blade like T-elos who seems to stun them very easily. yes, these are generally endgame blades but mythra or pyra should also be able to do it for people who dont have Kos mos or T-elos yet (two of my favorite blades, i spawned kos mos VERY early during chapter 4 grinding and i love her). the only mild nuisance is these have a high flee rate and are very dodgy. other than that, low health and barely any damage even later on. this is why having a high damage blade or ideal weapon/ driver art for stunning is recommended. its possible to stun them out of escaping with enough damage or topple
my other big favorite is a bit later on (temperance, ardanian garrison) is zeoth serpond. this is another relatively harmless enemy that gives much more exp than the above enemy i described but there is one moderately dangerous attack called lightning storm that he does at low health and its a big aoe+ multi hit. dont worry though, i swear he only does this once per encounter unless you take too long fighting him. unless youre under lv 50 (he spawns at lv 60-63) so theres no need to worry about cheap aoe spam. he is also very, very slow and using kos mos makes him a total punching bag. unlike the other enemy i mentioned, this one can have enough health for a overkill finish to get even more exp (ive hit 10K at most like this being the same level). i think you want your hp at 5K or more to avoid lightning storm killing you, it can easily halve your health right off the bat so keep a healer to avoid getting finished off. i havent died on him but for anyone under lv 50 well this might happen to you if he uses this attack so be careful...
side notes: zeoth serpond drops very precious items if you kill him. 0 battle course+, gold chips and another item i forget the name of but it increases damage done to higher level enemies (use in low level fights here if your damage isnt high enough). three amazing items for grinding and just some OP fun =) so id fight this monster as soon as you can. if he keeps killing you fight the squirrel like enemies until youre lv 50 or so but not too close to lv 60. for new game+ users you can simply abuse level down and spam the squirrel enemy for riches of exp and getting new legendary blades going before you get too far into the story (when wanting to try out new blades or take care of under equipped ones). new game+ is definitely ideal but these methods can be used by people who havent finished yet as well, zeoth serpond just requires you to get a bit further into the story but he is so worth fighting, my favorite enemy to grind as he gives me everything i need/ want and is a pure gold mine ^^
hope anyone tired of seeing unique monster methods finds this helpful, it works well for me =)
