So ive had my share of not so smart moves while grinding exp and fighting the random mobs for loot, and of course the very strong enemies tend to have the best drops and exp gain, but you might not wanna overdo it... for example, fight a lv 96 dinosaur that has high HP and is extremely resistant to physical damage. The reason why this is a bit annoying and not only obviously difficult is because the ether based characters apart from riki have lower base HP (or they seem to... you might want a lv5 HP gem for this if you dropped the loot to make some. Two of these should be enough, you want to boost ether and recovery for most slots i believe). Now did i actually do this or try to? if you know me well enough its probably an easy guess...
Yep, you guessed it. Of course i decided to be both stupid and greedy and took one of these on in the forest outside the village. Got greedy going for exp and decided to risk the fight (dont practice this... at least dont practice this too much, some areas you get sent back pretty far if you faint with no bars because of spread out landmarks so dont do this too often). I got some high level crystals which wasnt terrible, but whats more notable is the fact my team was lv 83-84 and with some caution i did manage to beat the lv 96 dinosaurs. I believe the enemy name was something like laskuit mahmut (hes very large and is on the ground level outside the nopon village, its hard to miss them. They also move really slowly so if you know you cant win or are on the first game, it shouldnt be too nightmarish to run behind them. This should be obvious but dont even think of trying to fight him on the first game .... youll probably get one shotted...). He gave me 120K EXP per kill! crazy and was a slower fight, but god that was worth it lol
Also i had the final monado and was controlling shulk since his bad AI would easily screw the whole fight and make the whole team die even faster than you already can if you arent careful, this enemy is extremely resistant to physical attacks unfortunately and because of being more than 10 levels under i had reyn still on the team and then riki who has some ether and most importantly sponges well on HP making a win more manageable. Two fights on these around 5 minutes each and he only fainted one time. Conserved my guage for revives and it wasnt horrible but that doesnt mean there werent A LOT of close calls, believe me there were plenty of these.
So for anyone new... i dont really suggest trying to beat an enemy thats 12-20 levels above your team, even with enough defense on your base equipment you can still die very easily to the strong mobs especially with the debuffs and multi hit attacks... attempt them this high at your own risk (and i did knowingly here lol... just have some not so great im game habits)
