Freedom Planet Dashing Onto Wii U On August 3rd

Freedom Planet was originally planned to release later this year, however, its release date has been pushed up according to Nintendo’s official website. Instead, the game will be available for Wii U owners on August 3rd, 2015.

The game is a combat-based platformer that may remind you of the Sonic games.

The game has three playable characters :

1. Lilac – Lilac is capable of whipping enemies with her hair and using the Dragon Boost to fly at high speed through the air.
2. Carol – Carol is capable of defeating enemies with his flurry of punches and kicks, and can ride up walls and ceilings with his motorcycle.
3. Milla – Milla is capable of summing blocks to throw at enemies. He can also reflect attacks back to enemies by using a psychic shield.

A free demo is already available in the eShop for those who wish to try out some of the gameplay. Those who tried the preview version are eligible for a 15% discount when the game becomes available on the eShop, however, the offer is only available to customers who purchase the game one month after its launch.
