How To Beat Dragons in Atelier Escha & Logy: Alchemists of the Dusk Sky DX

Dragon bosses are formidable foes in Atelier Escha & Logy: Alchemists of the Dusk Sky DX. An assignment will require that you defeat four dragons in a term. This guide will help you learn how to easily defeat them.

How To Beat Dragons in Atelier Escha & Logy

Make Dragon Slayer Equipment

The best way to deal with these dragons is to take advantage of the Dragon Slayer effect and property on the equipment you obtain or make. Dragon Slayer increases the damage dealt to dragons because the holders always deal critical hits to them.

These two lists may help you decide who to equip your gear to.

Characters who do a lot of damage:

  • Linca (highly recommended)
  • Threia
  • Awin
  • Reyfer
  • Logy

Characters who do a lot of damage to dragons regardless of Dragon Slayer:

  • Logy
  • Linca

Linca is mostly recommended because of her extremely high ATK stat. Her special does massive damage as well. Logy will sometimes need to use items during the battle to support other party members, therefore his attacks may be limited, making other characters more suited for the Dragon Slayer equipment. Additionally, Logy deals sufficient damage to dragons with his best skills.

Make healing items

One of the best healing items to make is the Pancake Stack with Eat Recover L, Major Move Stop, and Speed Down S effects. It can also be duplicated with the help of the Homunculus at the Administration Office. If you choose to use Escha for the fights, both her and Logy can hold one to support the team.

The Pancake Stack will gradually heal the HP of the party member it was used on (although it will stop after time until used again) and it’s a recipe that’s obtained early in the game. There are probably better healing items to make, but this one does a great job is made right.

The Holy Chalice is also a great item to have on hand if a party member dies. The Refuel Ointment is another great item to use for both healing and recovering HP. It’s best to make these items through synthesis by unlocking all of their effects and giving them decent properties.

The Elixir is great too, but it might be too expensive to make at the time because Dunkelheit is a required ingredient to make it through synthesis.

Effective items to use against dragons

The Titan Hammer, Blitz Stone, Eis Ice Bomb, and Slag Figure are all effective items to use against dragons. Dragon’s Secret and Strong Powder are also great to use for support.

Of course, only Logy and Escha can use these items during battle.

Combine all of the above with skills, specials and double draw (exclusive to Logy and Escha), and you will eventually be able to take down all of the dragons associated with quests. There is another dragon that is too powerful to face when learning about their existence.
