Inanna is a level 80 goddess of the lady race. The second time you encounter her (first time was with Maitreya), you will be required to battle her again and this time defeat her for good.
How To Beat Inanna in Shin Megami Tensei 4: Apocalypse
Inanna starts off with no weaknesses while having good resistance against everything except for physical and gun attacks. As she uses specific skills, her weakness will be altered (explained further below).
Her skills are :
- Riot Gun (heavy gun skill, one target)
- Raging Hellfire (changes her weakness to ice)
- Raging Blizzard (changes her weakness to fire)
- Raging Lightning (changes her weakness to force)
- Raging Tempest (changes her weakness to electric)
- Luster Candy (increases all user’s stats)
- Debilitate (lowers stats of all enemies)
Inanna has four unique skills that hits you hard while changing her weakness. It is important to follow which skill she uses so you will always know her weakness and have demons with a variety of heavy/severe damaging element skills in your party.
Strategies that work effectively against her :
- Lowering her stats and increasing your own.
- Magic repelling skills/items (be careful of her heavy gun skill / you can use upper-body armor for resistance against gun skills or to null them).
- All-out attack when she gets a weakness combined with assault attack.
- Isabeau as a partner for healing support and access to all element skills.
During the battle, Toki will regain a bit of her consciousness and tries to talk to you. When this occurs, you will be required to choose one of the following options while Inanna is unable to fight :
- Attack her (her attack power increases)
- Wait and see what happens (dialogue / she attacks you the 3rd time)
Her defense decreases after the third time in a row of choosing the the second option.
After further damage, she will drop her guard and you will get to choose again :
- Attack her (her attack power increases)
- Wait and see what happens (Nozomi will attack her)
At this time, her HP will be extremely low, therefore you can finish her off in less than 8 actions (most likely)if your party all have a skill she is weak against.
