The fix is really easy. Follow the steps below :
- Turn on the Nintendo 3DS and load Mario Kart 7.
- Instead of selecting single player or multiplayer, choose Mario Kart Channel.
The game should create some data on your SD card. After, try to access the Mario Kart 7 Community again. It should work this time.
How to access the Mario Kart 7 Community
After loading the game, select ‘Online Multiplayer’. After connecting to the Internet, select the option that says, “Communities”. Wait a while and the Community screen should appear. From there, you can create a community, search for a community by code, view a list of your favorite communities, and see some communities that are recommended for you.
It is possible to text chat with others in a Community, however, it is limited to only the text options that Nintendo provided.
