The normal tools in Animal Crossing: New Leaf are the net, fishing rod, shovel, axe, watering can, and slingshot. You can get silver versions of all of these tools by performing certain tasks. This guide shows you how.
Silver Net
You can buy the silver net from the museum shop after you have donated 30 bugs to the museum. If your museum shop is not selling a silver net and you have donated 30 bugs to the museum, then don’t worry, because the museum shop changes its stock each day, so just keep checking back regularly until a silver net is available for purchase. The silver net has a wider net radius than a normal net and it costs 500 Bells.
Silver Fishing Rod
You can buy the silver fishing rod from the museum shop after you have donated 30 fish to the museum. If your museum shop is not selling a silver fishing rod and you have donated 30 fish, then don’t worry, because the museum shop changes its stock each day, so keep checking back regularly until a silver fishing rod is available for purchase. Fish bite down much longer, and fish notice bait much more easily on a silver fishing rod than on a normal fishing rod. The silver fishing rod costs 500 Bells.
Silver Shovel
You can buy the silver shovel from the museum shop after you have donated 15 fossils to the museum. If your museum shop is not selling the silver shovel and you have donated 15 fossils, then don’t worry, because the museum shop changes its stock each day, so just keep checking back regularly until a silver shovel is available for purchase. When you hit a money rock with a silver shovel, gems will come out instead of Bells when you hit with a normal shovel. The silver shovel costs 500 Bells.
Silver Axe
You can buy the silver axe from the Island store for only 8 medals. The silver axe is breakable, but it lasts four times longer than a normal axe. Also, when you cut down a tree with a silver axe, the tree stump will have a unique design.
Silver Watering Can
To get the silver watering can, you must buy 50 flower bags from Leif’s garden shop. After you have bought 50 flower bags from Leif’s garden shop, then Leif will give you a silver watering can. The silver watering can, can water four spots at the same time, while the normal watering can, can only water one spot.
Silver Slingshot
The silver slingshot is carried as a present by two silver balloons once the player has shot down at least 16 balloons. The silver slingshot can shoot two pellets, while the normal slingshot can only shoot one.
