How To Get Mofcott in Atelier Sophie: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Book DX

To complete the Original Attire event in Atelier Sophie: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Book DX, you’ll have to synthesize Grandma’s Clothes. But to do that, you’ll need Mofcott. Mofcott is one of the toughest materials you can get early in the game. This guide will teach you how to get Mofcott so that you can craft Grandma’s Clothes and complete the event.

Unlocking the Mofcott recipe.

How To Get Mofcott in Atelier Sophie

The reason why synthesizing Grandma’s Clothes is so difficult is because you have to pass the Caries Heat trait to Cloth. Then you must use that Cloth to make the Mofcott. The Mofcott is then used as the main material to synthesize Grandma’s Clothes.

Craft Neutralizer R or Ingot with Carries Heat Trait

To synthesize Neutralizer R with the Carries Heat trait:

Neutralizer R: Kaen Stone (Gunpowerder) + Water
Ingot: Kaen Stone (Gunpowerder) + Fuel

Kaen Stone usually has the Carries Heat trait. You can purchase it from Logy if you no longer have any from exploring. The stone can be used to make either the Neutralizer R or the Ingot. Both of these materials will work to make the Gold Thread.

Craft Gold Thread using Neutralizer R or Ingot

Next, you must use the Neutralizer R (or Ingot) with the Carries Heat trait to make a Gold Thread. You should have the Gold Thread recipe by now, but if you don’t, gather Silver Web from the Forgotten Nursery area to unlock it. Sometimes you won’t be able to add Neutralizer R as the fuel for the recipe, so try the Ingot instead.

To synthesize Gold Thread with the Carries Heat trait:

Silver Web + Metal + Neutralizer R (Fuel)
OR
Silver Web + Ingot (Metal) + (Fuel)

Craft Cloth with the Carries Heat trait

Now that you have the Gold Thread with the Carries Heat trait, you can now make a Cloth and transfer over the trait to it. If you’re carrying over multiple traits, make sure it’s the first one that’s transferred over (so it appears at the top).

This should unlock the Mofcott recipe in the game for you to make.
