A Purple Crystal is needed to help in the completion of some assignments you’re given in Atelier Escha & Logy: Alchemists of the Dusk Sky DX, such as the Total Preparations assignment where you must make a Titan Hammer. This guide will show you how to get a Purple Crystal.
Assignment details:
A request has been made to check the effectiveness of various Search Equipment items. Go forth and try it! Requirements: Enter a field with a Goddess Shield and Titan Hammer equipped.
Step 1: Purchase the Fortune Teller alchemy book
At some point in the game, before you’re given the ??? assignment, Katla will sell the Fortune Teller alchemy book at her shop. Make sure you can afford it and purchase it from her. It gives you the crystal ball, crystal ring, tarot of fate, dowsing rod, and purple crystal recipes.
Step 2: Make a Crystal Ball
Before you can make a Purple Crystal, you have to make a Crystal Ball. It’s one of the required materials you will need for synthesis to make the Purple Crystal. Go to the Ing tab in the synthesis menu and follow the directions below to make the Crystal Ball.
Materials Required:
- Polished Crystal – unlock recipe from the Shiny Zappy alchemy book.
- Abrasive – can be made from two ore via synthesis.
- Cloth (any)
- Liquid (any)
The Shiny Zappy alchemy book is another book available at Katla’s shop in Urban Area. The Polished Crystal’s main ingredient is the Shining Crystal, which is found at Withering Plain (dropped item from Guard and Blue Spirit). Abrasive is a common ingredient because the Let’s Make A Bomb alchemy book, which can be obtained early in the game, unlocks it.
Step 3: Make the Purple Crystal
Ingredients to make a Purple Crystal:
- Crystal Ball – you should have made this above.
- Jewel (any) – another Crystal Ball could work, but there are many alternatives.
- Cloth (any)
- Liquid (any)
Cloth and liquid are extremely easy to obtain and there are many options to use. Jewel can be another Crystal Ball (see instructions above to make it), but it’s another common ingredient, so you will most likely have a lot of spare alternatives to use.
Mix them all together and you will obtain a Purple Crystal as the end result.
