Traveling in Atelier Ayesha: The Alchemist of Dusk DX consumes time, and as the game has a deadline to complete your primary objective, every move you make on the map is important. This guide will help cut the time it takes for moving in the game.
Saving Movement Time in Atelier Ayesha: The Alchemist of Dusk DX
Step 1: Unlock the recipe
Use memory points on the ‘My First Alchemy’ and ‘Hallos Village’ memories in your dairy. This should unlock a new recipe for synthesis, one that will help save time when traveling across the map.
Step 2: Finding Silver Fur and Shining Scale ingredients
Silver Fur
To make the best version of the item, you need Silver Fur. Silver Fur can be obtained in Salt Desert-Bones.
Travel to the bottom-left corner of the world map and enter Hornheim. Go to the Balloon Pier and travel to Salt Desert. On the map, walk to Salt Desert-Bones and search for Silver Fur. Soft Leaf, Salty Water, Never-Melting Ice, and Silver Fur are all obtainable in Salt Desert-Bones.
Shining Scale
The Shining Scale is a prize from completing the Fairydrake Hunt goal. When the task appears in your goal list, go to the Old Coal Mine and defeat the Fairydrake to receive the prize.
Side-note: Unsure if this goal’s title is accurate.
Step 3: Use alchemy to make the best Nomadic Shoes
Go to the accessory tab of the synthesis menu and search for Nomadic Shoes.
- Leather – Use Silver Fur.
- Steel Yarn Ball – Make from alchemy.
- Lumber – Use anything available (eg. Eiche, Mossy Driftwood, Purification Block, etc)
- Scale – Use Shining Scale.
Add the Shining Scale to the pot first. Press ‘right’ on the D-pad and select Power Pour, followed by ‘left’ to go back to the ingredient selection screen. Add in the Silver Fur twice (thanks to Power Pour), and finish up by adding in the remaining ingredients. Make sure the green bar crosses the mark point to upgrade from ‘Fast Walk’ to ‘Run’ or ‘Like the Wind’. ‘Like the Wind’ is optional because it only improves visible movement speed, however, pour power with the listed ingredients should max it out.
Note: Silver Fur and Shining Scale are not necessary to make the Nomadic Shoes, however, to make the best version of it, you should use these ingredients when synthesizing.
How to make a Steel Yarn Ball?
The most common ingredients to make the Steel Yarn Ball are Soft Metal Rod, Strong Yarn or Lady’s Beard, Moss Grass or Moon Leaf, and Polish Powder. The Soft Metal Rod and Steel Yarn Ball recipes are unlocked after opening a chest to find the Glass Factory Info book in The Glass Ruins.
Strong Yarn’s recipe is unlocked after purchasing the Huntsmen’s Life book at Black Cat’s Path in Vierzeberg. Its ingredients are pretty common.
