During today’s Nintendo Direct presentation for Japan, Ryozo Tsujimoto announced that Monster Hunter 4 for the Nintendo 3DS will be released in Japan on September 14, 2013. The game will be priced at 5,990 yen – that’s about $60 US.

In addition, Nintendo and Capcom are preparing two limited edition Nintendo 3DS XL consoles that will be available to purchase at the game’s launch date. Hopefully these limited edition 3DS XL consoles are available to purchase in North America and Europe.
There is still no word when Monster Hunter 4 will be released for the 3DS in North America and Europe. My guess is that we might see the game available in late 2014 or early 2015. Hopefully it arrives early if it’s made available next year.
