Though not entirely related to video games, this still gave me a laugh. Mostly because I can imagine people in the mid-to-late 80’s watching Netflix on an NES, but partially because I can’t at the same time. Computers were barely around (although if they were around in say..1985, no one had one), so imagining a video streaming service like Netflix on something as old as an NES is hilarious.
But it isn’t a daydream anymore, because it has been done. I present to you: Netflix on the NES. Yeah, it happened. While it isn’t anywhere near to the Netflix we all know (and mostly love), what would you expect it to look like on a 1985 console? Even though it isn’t much, this is still pretty cool. I also still don’t really understand how they did it, considering they claim it is an unmodified console but..hey, it’s Netflix on an NES!
