Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons available from the eShop on May 30th 2013

It is not news by now that Nintendo planned to release these two titles for their virtual shop this year. Around two months ago we learned they would be available outside of Japan and we rejoiced; however, weeks have passed by with no news in our 3DS about it, until recently. Nintendo has released two videos:

The videos above explain the games will be released for the Virtual Console on May 30th and will cost $4.99 each, though only for a limited time. Nintendo UK has confirmed that they will be coming to its eShop on the same date for £5.39.

The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages and The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons are two different games developed by Capcom that were originally released for the Gameboy Color in 2001. Each game is a complete adventure and they don’t have a set order – you may start whichever game you like first. They have different stories, quests and puzzles. They can be linked with a password to pass items from one finished quest in one title to the start of new file in the other, you also can be rewarded after finishing both games with a small twist ending.

These games were immersive games with clever puzzles and can be an excellent excuse to enter the franchise if you have never played a Zelda title. If you liked Link’s Awakening, which is also available in Nintendo eShop, then you will most likely dig these two games.
