Making a game with a serious story and puzzle gameplay organic to each other isn’t an easy feat. CIRCLE Entertainment, however, have pulled it off with Quell Memento, a sequel to Quell Reflect.
The game takes place in an abandoned house where you, the protagonist, are a precious guest (obviously, if anyone wants to stay in a place that spooky, they’ll be precious to whoever the landlord is). As you try to make sense of the previous occupant’s confused memories, you go through self-reflection yourself.
The game features 150 puzzles, achievement challenges and an original soundtrack by Steven Cravis. Quell Memento will arrive on the 3DS eShop on January 16. Check out the screenshots below:
