The game takes place between Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 5. It uses a new revision of the internally developed MT Framework graphics engine. Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D was the first Resident Evil game to make its way to the Nintendo 3DS, and was meant to be a test for Capcom to see what the 3DS is capable of – of course, if you want to play the game you’ll have to pay a price (it’s definitely not free if that’s what you were assuming). During the gameplay of Resident Evil: Revelations, Jill and Parker Luciani are sent to search for and find Chris Redfield and Jessica Sherawat at the SS Queen Zenobia. The game has both Wi-Fi and local multi-player, however, you will be required to beat the single player campaign to unlock multi-player gameplay.
