Nintendo announced today that for Pokémon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire’s release, there will be two limited editions of the 2DS. Don’t expect a design that you may find on a limited edition 3DS, but something different will change: the case.
Yes, the case of these special editions will be transparent, revealing the 2DS’ hardware. It will be red or blue depending on which pack you’ll pick up. Also, note that you’ll be able to get the 2DS only if you want.
The system-only bundle will be sold on November 7th, while bundles featuring both the console and a copy of Pokémon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire will be available on November 28th, for 150€.
(No data has been given yet about the console-only bundle’s price, or an American price, but we can expect the console-only bundle to be sold for the same price as a regular 2DS).
