17 May 2013 Nintendo Direct Game Roundup for 3DS

Satoru Iwata is back at it again with another Nintendo Direct presentation. Remember to check out last month’s Nintendo Direct presentation if you missed it.

Like usual, we here at 3DSPedia.com round up a list of the Nintendo 3DS games that were showed off from the Nintendo Direct video so that you don’t have to watch that long 30 minute video. However, be my guest if that’s what you prefer :

Sonic: Lost World

The first Nintendo 3DS game from this Nintendo Direct presentation is Sonic: Lost World. The game will be exclusively available for the Nintendo Wii U and 3DS consoles. The presentation did not reveal much details about the game, however, Mr. Iwata did say that more information will be shared at a later date.

Sega Game Gear Virtual Console Titles – Coming to Nintendo eShop

  • Crystal Warriors
  • Columns
  • Sonic Blast
  • Sonic the Hedgehog
  • Dr. Robotnik’s Mean Bean Machine
  • Sonic the Hedgehog 2
  • Defenders of Oasis
  • Tails Adventure
  • Shining Force 2: The Sword of Hajya
  • Sonic Drift 2
  • G-Loc Air Battle
  • Sonic Labyrinth
  • Vampire: Master of Darkness

According to Nintendo president, Satoru Iwata, all of the Sega Game Gear titles listed above will soon be available for the Nintendo 3DS as digital downloads via the eShop. Expect each of the games to cost within the $1-10 US price range.

The Legend of Zelda – Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons

The next two games that were mentioned during the Nintendo Direct presentation are The Legend of Zelda Oracle of Ages and The Legend of Zelda Oracle of Seasons. JC Rodrigo from the Nintendo Tree House went on about how both games offer an ultimate gaming experience when played together. The game features a system that unlocks additional content – for example, a different final boss.

Both games will be available for the Nintendo 3DS as eShop digital downloads on May 30, and they will cost $5.99 US each. However, Nintendo will be offering the games for $4.99 US each during May 30 to June 20.

Recap – Known 3DS Games Coming Soon

JC from the Nintendo Tree House also mentioned some of the 3DS games that were already announced but are coming soon to the 3DS. First, he showed off some of the gameplay from Mario and Donkey Kong: Minis on the Move (the game is already available). Then, he talked about some of the worlds from Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D and its mechanisms. Next, was Animal Crossing: New Leaf.

Nintendo 3DS Game Release Dates (North America) :

  • Mario and Donkey Kong: Minis on the Move – already available.
  • Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D – May 24, 2013.
  • Animal Crossing: New Leaf – June 9, 2013.
