The mutated plant thing from resident evil I think is called plant 42, though I might be confusing the name with one background thing near the end of re2. I kinda disagree witb your choice for metroid prime 2, then again, I'm pretty good at bomb jumping. I say the boost guardian is alot worse: it was very quick to go into its invincible form, it could spawn mooks that take away precious energy, and its health was a bit high for that point in the game. Not to mention your energy isn't near high enough to survive long periods of time in the dark world without a light crystal or beacon nearby.
