ok, so i ended up going to bed this morning at like 7am or so, and i just woke up now. and, i had a dream....which i strongly believe is linked to a past life i had, when i was a larvan form of Sephiroth, only in the shape of a male. my name then? it was....Kadaj. so, here's what happened.
i was traveling with Cloud and a couple of his cohorts, not sure what the mission was at the time. however, the presence of JENOVA cells in the area was multiplying fast--extremely fast. people were dying and getting sick, and all sorts of other problems. i, however, remained unharmed, and i felt my inner strength and power building at high speed, due to the presence of Mother's cells and the fact they were multiplying quickly.
so, as we were traveling, one of them said to us "Keep going! we dont have time to fight enemies!" i just kind of scoffed and giggled briefly, giving my sadistic, sick smile i gave when i was feeling pleasure. nobody seemed to notice.
we ended up arriving at what seemed to be some kind of lab, and i started to run ahead of the others, and one of them shouted "hey, wait! what are you doing?!" i just laughed my sadistic laugh, not telling them what my plan was. and of course, i didnt listen; i just did as i pleased. then, another one of them yelled "Kadaj! Stop!" again, i didnt listen. i knew what they were trying to do: kill Mother. And there was no way i was going to allow them to do that without a fight. so, i entered the lab, which i soon realized was the Nibelheim Reactor: Mother's roost. i went straight for the control room, moving as fast as i could. i managed to get in there before Cloud and the others could catch up. i went to the CPU, and got to work. i was trying to lock up the room where Mother was so they wouldnt be able to reach her. and it had been executed just on time: i heard them barge in, breaking down the door, since i had locked myself in, in hopes they wouldnt be able to get to me on time. one of them shouted "hey! stop right there, Kadaj!" then, i laughed, and turned around to smile at them, then said "you're too late." then, Cloud looked at me firmly and yelled "what did you do, Kadaj?! Confess, or you die!" then, i drew my sword, and laughed some more, saying "i locked the room where Mother is. there was no way i was going to let you kill her like that. what kind of son would i be if i did?" then, Cloud immediately got furious and said "what?! are you insane?!!" then, i smiled and said "call me whatever you want, Cloud. but calling me names isnt going to unlock that door." then, he stammered, saying "but, what..?! how is that..! dont you know what you just did?!!" then, i laughed and flashed my sadistic smile, and said "of course i do. i have protected my own Mother." then, Cloud said "no, Kadaj! you have just sentenced everyone to death! you have put the entire planet in jeopardy!" then, i just turned back to the CPU, without saying anything. i didnt care at all about what Cloud was saying; i cared about Mother and her legacy, not Cloud and his whole crooked charade. then, i heard Cloud speak to the others, saying "you guys try to break the door down to JENOVA's chamber. let me take care of Kadaj." then, i laughed and turned around to face them, and said "what are you Cloud, stupid? that door is far too heavy and strong to be broken down by some scumbags like you guys. the only one who would ever have a chance at doing that is Sephiroth, or Mother herself." then, getting angrier, Cloud said "what?!!"
another one of them also raised his weapon, giving me a threatening look, and said "you have a choice, Kadaj: either give us the passcode to unlock the door, or fight." then, of course, i rose my sword and got into my battle ready position, and smiled and said "ok, fine. bring it on. but three to one isnt fair, you know. only one of you can challenge me, got it?"
then, the 3 of them stood silent at each other, then one of them said "i think it's best we leave this to Cloud." another of them nodded in agreement, saying "right. well Cloud, you up to it?" then he nodded, saying "of course i am." then, i laughed my sadistic laugh, and found myself coated in pitch black sort of essence, and felt myself transforming. i continued my laugh as all of this happened, and stopped when the blackness vanished. then, Cloud appeared shocked, and said "Sephiroth..?! but...! i killed you!" then, i said "dont you know about rebirth and resurrection, Cloud? those are two very real things: especially in the circle of Mother's legacy." then, letting out a battle cry, Cloud ran towards me to attack. i warped, avoiding his attack entirely, and ended up in the large room where the door to Mother's chamber was.
of course, he quickly found me, and we began to fight. for a long time, i had the upper hand, and he was getting weak and close to death. but soon, he found the strength to keep going, and just as i got ready to finish him, he ended up pushing his sword through my body instead, using my own strength against me. feeling myself dying, i barely made out "No...impossible..!" then, he slowly removed his sword from my body, and i dropped to the ground, looking at the door to Mother's chamber, reaching my arm towards it, and said "im sorry...Mother....i've failed you...." then, i felt myself dissipating, and that's when i woke up.
i sat up, then got out of bed and looked at myself in the mirror, realizing i was still alive, and that i had only died in my dreams. then, i looked off in the distance, saying thoughtfully "i wont fail you, Mother. not this time." then, i just stretched and went back to sleep.
