Pokeumans: Chapter 9 Part I

Chapter 9

Andy was debating whether or not to bring his bag. It would be useful in restoring himself when he needed during battle, but some of his other stuff would be damaged as well. He was about to leave his bag behind when he remembered the Pokemon games. In those games, you were allowed to heal your Pokemon mid-battle. That would prove useful, and it would be fair. So he left his sleeping bag, pillow, and other over-night equipment, and kept the restorative items.

He walked towards the door that had no locks on it, twisted the handle, and walked inside. The first thing he noticed was the room was very dark, and the only light that shone was the one from the hallway Andy came from. He looked around, and was confused with what was happening.

Maybe the Pokemon isn't here? He looked around some more, but still couldn't see any signs of life here.

When Andy turned to leave, but the door suddenly slammed shut. He then rushed towards to door, but pulled it vain. It was sealed shut.

He heard some laughter that sounded like a young girl giggling. It echoed off the wall, and disappeared.

Andy began thinking about the opponent he would face. What are we looking at here? A dark type? Or maybe it's a poison ty-

He was interrupted by a blow to his face. He couldn't describe it, but he felt like his attacker had used Thief. Andy could see the strategical advantages to this; use the move to eliminate any item held by the challenger, and it would be lost in the darkness. Luckily, though all of his items were on his back, and not his front.

It didn't matter, though; Andy could tell that his attacker was a Ghost type. Andy had to think, and he had to do it quickly. He remembered how he used his Aura sensors to tell where to hit Harrison when he battled him, so he closed his eyes and tried that.

He could see an aura in the distance. It would shoot left to right, and go in odd directions. Then, out of the corner of his vision, Andy saw the cluster of Aura coming close to him at high speeds. He jumped out of the way, and felt a huge wind follow. It was going really fast. So fast, it might have ended the battle there.

Andy didn't have time to marvel, though. A Jirachi was in trouble, and he had to join the PRT as quickly as possible.

No more games.

Andy located the aura once again. He had to get this battle done quickly. He saw the aura coming in again, and he prepared a Shadow Claw. Instead of moving out of the way, Andy held out his paw, and the attacker was hit. It quickly retreated, and it's aura turned red. The Pokemon came in for another shot, and Andy once again stuck out shadow claw. It dodged, but Andy was quick enough to let it get into contact.

The Aura turned gray, and Andy heard a small groan from the little girl voice again. Then there was a thump, and lights came on. Andy opened his eyes and saw that he had taken down a Mismagius. It mustered up the energy to get up.

"You are...much stronger than I thought."

"Sorry, but I'm kinda in a hurry. I need to join the PRT to save a Jirachi, and I can't use up my time against you guys."

"Ah. Pardon me, then. There should be a key in the wall. Just push the brick of a darker shade. Normally I'd let you figure that out yourself, but you need to get going."

"Maybe next time, we can have a real battle, once the Jirachi is saved."

"Sure. I'll be waiting." The Mismagius sank into the floor, and disappeared.

Andy looked around. There were black tiles everywhere. He started searching for the darker shade of brick. He did this until he noticed that one brick was reflecting light in an odd manner. He got up and reached his paw went right through it, and he pulled out a key. It was then Andy realized that this wasn't a brick at all, but a thick-black curtain that his the hole.

He took the key, and ran towards the door. He used it to unlock the door, and step outside. One down, three to go.

He ran towards to door with one keyhole. His energy and PP were good enough. The key was used to unlock the door. When he heard the click, he went in.

The room was rocky, with a few pillars here and there. This would suggest that the Pokemon is either Rock or Ground type. The door once again slammed shut, and Andy knew it would be sealed like last time.

Suddenly, he the ground start to shake. It shook once, then again, then again, almost like something huge was walking his way. Since there were lights in this room, he didn't need to see Aura, but he still wanted to know where the elite was.

He decided to take give aura a try and closed his eyes. He couldn't see anything in front or above him, but he looked down and saw a huge aura blob rising from the sand. Andy realized that it wasn't moving slowly, but it was like a shark that was shooting for it's prey on the surface.

Andy jumped out of the way, and a huge eruption of sand came up behind him. He recognized the move. It was Dig. "Now I really can't afford to get hit!"

Andy looked back and saw an enormous Tyranitar. It gave a roar, and a sandstorm started. Luckily, Andy was part steel, so the sand had no effect on him.

Andy started to fire up the his Aura Sphere. He launched it, and the ball sailed towards the attacker. It hit it, and Andy could tell his health was going down.

As he started up another Aura Sphere, the Tyranitar stomped its foot on the ground. The room started to shake violently, and Andy was left being tossed, having his head bang violently into the floor, and other things. It had used Earthquake.

That probably hurt me the most.

Andy could tell his health was very low. It would be very hard to dodge an earthquake, so Andy had to defeat it as quickly as possible. He loaded up another Aura Sphere, and it hit the target. The Tyranitar roared, and fell on the floor. The sandstorm also subsided.

Andy was panting. He was exhausted, and he needed to get going.

"Hey! I need you to tell me where the key is! There's a Jirachi in danger, and I need to join the PRT as quickly as possible!"

The Tyranitar got up, and brushed the debris off of it.

"I would, but after all of that, I want you to figure it out. Catch you later!" Tyranitar leaped into the air, and when he touched the sand, he sunk right through.

"Hey! Wait!" Andy went over to the place the Tyranitar disappeared. He couldn't believe it! The Tyranitar just brushed off the situation! Andy felt very upset, but he suddenly felt something hard and metallic hit his head and bounce onto the floor.

Looking back, it was another key. He quickly grabbed it, and limped towards the door. He used the key to unlock the door, and grabbed both that and the first key from the door as he left. It was then he had realized that the keys had numbers on them. 1 was from the Mismagius, and 2 was from the Tyranitar.

Andy didn't know what kind of Pokemon await him, but he knew that he had to be quick. His energy was very low, so he decided to use a restorative item. He opened his pack and found the cinnamon rolls from the lunch ladies. He ate it, and he could feel his energy flow back.

If I were still a human, that would've only got me full, but since I'm a Pokemon, it can bring back energy and make me restore everything in my body. Amazing!
