Project Progress: Entry #2

Project Progress: Entry #2

More progress made!

So there was a bit of a hiatus. A little, eensy teensy little break that spanned...for a while, actually.

Okay, okay, so there's a lot of personal stuff going on around here. It's been a bit of chaos and emotional turmoil since September. I've lost motivation for really any project since lots of stuff went down. That's why the SFM project and Pokeumans story isn't going so well. Well, that and because I've been doing school. Python is a pretty nice class, but I won't deny I've almost lost my patience multiple times.

Much like this project so far.

Anyway, enough of my emotional baggage, you came to see how the thingamajigger it going!

Progress:
  • I've started lip synching.
  • Movement as the clip progresses.
  • Began converting the project into a movie file.
  • Installed a movie making application to convert the resulting file into a smaller size.
  • Some slight fixes.
Issues:
  • Since converting into a movie I've had weird quirks in the animation.
  • For some reason the Scout is either trying to eat the boombox or just got his faced smashed in by a flying projectile, whichever you prefer (pictured above)
  • Points on the motion editor no longer contain any values. They're just there and contain the same information as my first point.
  • Some bodies move when there isn't even a point on them. So I have an empty canvas but the models will still move as if there was a data point there.
  • Exported movie files are huge, but I already figured out a solution thanks to putting it in a movie making app to export it again to shave off unnecessary bytes.
So I'm struggling a little. I'm tempted to go onto the forums and ask what's up, but I really don't know how to say it. Plus, I don't want them to remind me that my computer shouldn't even be able to run the program in the first place.

Oh well, I'm still working.

I haven't seen most of the process, but that screenshot looks really good! I probably couldn't attempt anything that would look remotely as cool
Keep at it man! This animation looks pretty cool and is much better than anything I could produce. When you're done I'll probably watch it.
