Silence. Dead silence.
That hardly audible hum after a night of u'sal Rakdos madness, ringing in my ears and vibrating in my teeth. S'one of the few things I still enjoy about this gig: means that show last night went well.
Next thing I feel is the sunlight burning on my face. A couple holes in the ceiling let the morning's light in - late morning actually. And before I realize it, my head starts pounding with muscle-memory, catching up to the <censored> I was doing a few hours ago.
I'd better not just lay on stage for the whole day - front-and-center apparently, but I've woken up to worse - I need new band members. Business of the livin' and all that.
Just before I leave though, I take one last look't the mess I made of The Eaves theatre. Y'know, recount last night's act.
Most everything's on its side, tipped over by the fans that trampled out near the end. A couple bats - the namesake of 'The Bats of Agyrim' - hungout together on the rafters of the building, smacking their lips and drying their claws of the theatergoers' blood below. The theatergoers, splattered every which way outward from the stage. Krokt, one of every damned race of Ravnica has their blood drying on the walls of The Eaves. Four of them I recognize as my last band mates.
"All part of a good show," as Jelv would say, "raise a little anarchy, ruin a few lives, that's how you have a party!"
Alright, I gotta prepare for my next gig.
