Well, I visited a werewolf here, a vampire here, a secret cult devoted to blood, and of course, the shadow man. WHAT?!? You don't know who the shadow man is? Well let me recount one of his most infamous tales, ehehehehehehehe
We begin our story in a small house out in the woods. There were 2 boys, Gage Hass and Sora Van Roxas, who were celebrating their friend Pacey Gym's birthday! It was a merry occasion, with fun had by all...at least, until it got dark! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
"..and so I said 'Thats just a theory....A GAME THEORY!!'" said Pacey, hardly containing his laughter. The friends looked at him, Gage faking a laugh while Sora looked bored. "Guys, I have a better idea" said Sora. He ran to turn off the lights and put the curtains in front of the window so the room was completely dark. Then he grabbed a flashlight and turned to his friends. "Let's tell ghost stories" he said, flashing on the light under his face so it appeared ominous. Gage shrugged while Pacey looked afraid. "I..don't really like scary stories" he muttered timidly. Sora just cackled and said "Fine, but don't come crying to me when the Shadow Man comes." Gage tilted his head curiously. "Who's that?" He asked. "The Shadow Man is a creature made of pure shadows. He follows his victims to their house, and when the lights go out, he follows them. The victims will feel the air around him get cold, and may even start feeling paranoid if they manage to catch a glimpse of him. Sometimes he'll turn off all the lights in your house if he feels impatient and kill you. Sometimes he'll just stand over you...and watch. And you know the scariest part?" Pacey started shaking and whispered "what?" Sora leaned up to Pacey's face and said "He likes haunting houses in forests like the one we're in!" Pacey screamed, and started running to the closet to hide. Sora laughed like mad. "What the hell is wrong with you? You freaked him out!" Gage angrily said. "Whatever. He needs to learn how to handle a little fear." Sora looked up at Gage, and noticing the evil glare he was giving him, hastily added "But...maybe I should apologize and go after him." The pair went to the closet. Gage tried opening it, but it was locked. "Pacey? You there? Come out, Sora is sorry." He said. But he got no response. Gage turned to ask Sora if he had a suggestion on how to get Pacey out, but Sora was too busy turning on the lights. He opened the window curtains, and said "hmm...getting dark out. Maybe I'll leave these closed." He stopped then turned to Gage, with a crooked smile on his face. "Wouldn't it be funny if the Shadow Man decided to start haunting us right now? Maybe he got Pacey." Gage didn't look amused. In fact, he was about to punch Sora for even thinking that, when the lights went out. "Very funny Sora. NOW TURN THE DAMN LIGHTS ON!!" Gage yelled angrily. "That...that wasn't me." Gage looked around, but he couldn't see very well in the dark. Gage squinted his eyes, and noticed a figure in the room. He moved towards it. "Hey...that you Sora?" He whispered. He didn't believe in ghost stories, but this was started to get a bit too weird for him. The figure said nothing, but rather ran off into the kitchen. "Sora, get back here!!" Gage said, before chasing after him. Gage ran into the kitchen, and found the figure. Sora turned around as Gage grabbed him, and screamed. "Oh...it's you. You scared the crap out of me" Gage punched him. "YOU FREAKED PACEY OUT, TURNED OUT THE LIGHTS, AND TRY AND MAKE ME THINK YOURE THE SHADOW MAN?!?! WHAT IS YOUR DAMAGE?!?" Sora gets off the ground, his nose bleeding. "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?!? I WENT TO THE KITCHEN TO GO MESS WITH THE LIGHTS AND SEE IF THEY TURN ON!! AND I DIDNT TURN THEM OFF IN THE FIRST PLACE!!" The argument was about to escalate when the air suddenly turned cold. The boys, filled with fear and paranoia, dropped the fight and ran. They ended up in Pacey's room and locked the door. "I-I-I could have sworn I saw a shadow in the room with us" "and...and..the air...so cold..." "What do we do?" asked Sora. It was less of a question and more of a desperate plea for help. "We need to....to get Pacey,..and get out. We can make a run for it..." Sora nodded his head. The two nervously snuck to the closet where Pacey was hiding. "Pacey, we need to get out of here...NOW!!!" Gage tensely whispered. No response. Gage tried opening the door, and to his surprise, it was unlocked. He went in, and noticed there was no one inside. There was however, blood everywhere in the small little closet. Gage resisted the urge to throw up and looked at Sora desperately. "He's not here!" He yelled, not caring that they could be heard, as his panic was making him lose common sense. "We're dead!" Sora screamed, and bolted for the door. Gage ran after him. They ran out of the house and into the forest, where the dead of the night was making it seem more sinister then usual. Gage tripped and fell into the ground. Sora turned around. "GAAAAAAH!!!" Gage screamed in pain. "MY LEG!!! IT HURTS!!!" Indeed, the leg was bent at an unnatural angle. Sora looked at him. "Please....help me..." Gage reached to Sora. Sora ran off. "Sora!! SORA!!!! PLEASE!!!!!" Sora kept running. He didn't want to run off, but he knew that if he saved Gage, the monster would catch them both. Suddenly, Sora heard a blood curdling scream. He felt a ping of despair in his heart, knowing it was Gage. He turned around to keep running, tears in his eyes, before almost colliding into the Shadow Man, who had appeared in front of him. "Who...who are you?" Sora whispered. He swore the shadow smiled at him. Then, the shadows melted off the figure. Sora gasped. In front of him, was Pacey! "You...you're..." He whispered, seemingly unable to finish the sentence. Pacey laughed, sounding more demonic then human. "You guys left me...how sad. It was never my intention to kill you, but once you told the story, I felt flattered. I just knew I had to repay the favor by slaughtering you." Sora started crying harder and screamed "PLEASE DONT KILL ME!!!" Pacey laughed and said "Funny, that's what Gage said. You know, before you left him to die," Pacey turned into shadows once more, and touched his hand on Sora's face. "So....cold..." Sort whispered. Then he started shaking. Almost instantly, blood started oozing from his mouth, nose, and eyes. He screamed in pain, his body shaking. Then he was silent. Pacey turned away from him. He felt sad, for he had never had friends like those two. 'No matter' he thought. 'I can always trick more into following me'. Pacey grabbed the bodies, took them back to the house, and shoved them into the closet. "Some things" he said, as he closed the closet door, " are better left in the shadows."
