The Man in the Kitchen!

One night, when I was a small girl(6 years old), my family and I were in the living room. We were watching a marathon of scary movies. My Mother loved scary movies and so did I. My Father, on the other hand, weren't really fond of them. It was getting really late and I was drifitng off to sleep. "Oh, Jay dear. If you want to fall asleep, you can fall asleep on the couch," My mother said. "Thank you, Mummy," I yawned and rested my head on the other couch's armrest. After falling asleep, I woke up to a noise in the kitchen. I looked around and it was all dark. My Mother and Father were in their room asleep and they had turned the T.V off. I rubbed my eyes and looked at the wall analog clock, it read 3:30am. I didn't want to be awake so I turned over and held the blanket close to me. *Cling* A noise from the kitchen, again. I quickly turned around and looked towards our kitchen. "W-Who's there..." I asked, very much terrified. I kept my eyes wide open, since it was hard to see in the dark. My heart beated as I wait for whatever was in there to show itself. But it didn't. After what felt like 5 minutes, I heard footsteps."M-mummy," I asked. No reply. I kept my eyes fixed on the Kitchen. "Mummy, if you're in there.... please tell me," I said. Once again, no reply, just footsteps. My heart skipped a beat once I saw the figure move from behind the wall of the kitchen. It was an old man... but not just any old man, he was see through. Right then I knew it was a ghost and my eyes were filled with terror. He looked straight at me. I didn't know what caused the footsteps because he was floating. It looked like he was getting closer to me, but very slowly. So I did what any little kid would do and hid under my blanket, hoping it would go away.. but it didn't. I felt the aura of coldness reach my feet. I kept thinking to myself, "Mummy, Daddy, Please help me." But I was to scared to yell or say anything else. The coldness reached farther up my body and I felt a cold freezing hand lightly touch my shoulder before my lights switched on. "Jay, are you okay," My Mother asked. I flipped my blankets over, ran to her, and started to cry. "What's wrong, dear?," she asked."I heard you calling me." I never called out for my Mother. I didn't say a word after I saw the... the ghost! She held me close, comforted me, and told me everything was going to be okay. I held her back and hoped whatever she was saying is true.

You're probably wondering who that was... the man, or the voice that called my Mother. Well, I didn't find out for quite sometime. *Sets tea down and crosses legs* Well let me tell you something. I believe in ghost, demons, monsters.. you name it. Sometimes one of them could be right in front of you and you wouldn't even know. I'm sorry, how rude of me, would you like some tea?
