Why hello, my sweet little cupcakes. I've been busy working on new chapters for Toxic Manor and Renaissance of Heroes, and don't worry, they'll be uploaded soon. But a curious thing occurred to me while I was taking a break and checking the forums. I noticed that like 50% of idiots people with inspirational quotes somewhere on their profile or signature (the other 50% of signatures being ads for signatures...in signatures. Is your mind blown yet?). But this got me thinking, "Why not post some inspirational quotes myself, and provide the people of the forum some great wisdom?" So prepared to be inspired! Without further ado, here's some of my favorite famous quotes of wisdom.
"If life is a punishment, one should wish for an end; if life is a test, one should wish it to be short."
-Jacques-Henri Bernadin de Saint-Pierre, Paul and Virgina
"Kids, you tried your best and failed miserably. The lesson is, never try." -Homer Simpson, The Simpsons
“I've got a bad case of the 3:00 am guilts - you know, when you lie in bed awake and replay all those things you didn't do right? Because, as we all know, nothing solves insomnia like a nice warm glass of regret, depression and self-loathing.” -D.D. Barant, Dying Bites
“I will be the first to admit that I am a pessimist by nature. It is, after all, the wisest way to be. We pessimists have everything to gain, whereas optimists have a fifty-fifty chance of being disappointed.”
― Tamar Myers, As the World Churns
"You asked me what life is. That's like asking what a carrot is. A carrot is a carrot, and there's nothing more to know."
- Anton Pavlovich Chekhov
"The advantage of love at first sight is that it delays a second sight."
-Natalie Clifford Barney
“If children were brought into the world by an act of pure reason alone, would the human race continue to exist? Would not a man rather have so much sympathy with the coming generation as to spare it the burden of existence, or at any rate not take it upon himself to impose that burden upon it in cold blood?” - Arthur Schopenhauer, Studies in Pessimism: The Essays
"I'm going to hell in a hand basket. And I'll have good company too. Cause if I was so bad, then there's no need to be sad. Cause every single one of you will be there too (including you!) - Voltaire, Hell in a Handbasket
"People always ask me, 'Toxic, can you be so negative all the time when you live in such a wonderful world?' And I always respond, 'How the #### can you be so idiotic as to think that life is wonderful?' I have still yet to be given a satisfactory answer."
