Vigor Review

Vigor was just released as free to play game for Nintendo Switch earlier in September. Vigor is a third person shooter/survival/battle royal. I bought the Founder's Pack for $20, and it was worth it. They gave me a good sum of in-game currency to buy the first two battle passes, and they are about regular price for other battle passes. The concept is to build your base, in which you go out on encounters to scavenge for supplies, hoping you don't run into someone hostile. You can find weapons, but you can also make them back at base. There is no advantage for buying anything with real money, as you could only buy cosmetics such as outfits and weapon skins. The in-game currency can also be produced from your base once your base is a high enough level. It can also be bought with real money. There are several modes, free for all, team death match, and encounter modes. Encounter modes is where you leave your safe zone (your base) and drop into a map with other players. Each encounter will have 8-12 players, and there are no rules. You can team with someone with a simple wave emote, or you can hunt down everyone. Once you kill a specific amount of players, you'll be marked on the map, and people can come for you or avoid you. The goal of an encounter is to loot as much as you can without dying, as once you die you will lose all of your stuff unless you buy insurance, which uses in-game currency. You can leave at anytime in the game, as there are escape routes. If you wait long enough, you can go for the loot drop, which is the most valuable item in the encounter. Beware though, as someone could be camping near the loot drop, or someone booby-trapped it. You can set buffs or de-buffs on loot drops through com-stations, which are also marked on the map. Once you leave the match, depending on what loot you got, how many kills you got, and if you retrieved the loot drop, you are rewarded with XP. XP amounts depend on the rarity of your loot. There are different maps for the encounters, and there is also rotating maps. Every hour new map will pop in for you to try. The other two game modes are fairly fun, and you do not lose any of the loot you get from the encounters. Your are rewarded with XP and food based on your performance. Overall, the game is fairly fun, though some glitches may occur. The graphics are fair as well, and the gameplay is very well done. The only bad thing I did not particularly like was that there was no motion control for aiming like in Warface, but otherwise, Vigor is a very good free-to-play game!

Sounds like a fun game, and good review
I tried it on the switch and there were motion controls but I couldnt fine tune it for the best controls so I gave up. I'll probably try again someday.

i recently played this again, and you were right. but they weren't the best lol, i couldn't fine tune them either. It needs to be more like Warface and Fortnite's motion controls.
