Ok so many people love the pokemon franchise, but do anyone really know what pokemon translate to in japanese. Well if you don't that's why im here, pokemon translate to Pocket Monsters. But original pokemon would have been called “Capsule Monsters,” but Satoshi Tajiri if i spelled his name right had trouble trademarking it, leading to the series eventually being called Pokémon.
