3 Heart Run

Anyone here beat any Zelda games only having the starting 3 hearts and no extras? If so what games did you do it on?

I completed a three heart challenge on Majora's Mask. I didn't really feel too accomplished, though, because I abused a lot of AI faults and played much more cautiously than usual (and I usually play really cautiously anyway).

I managed to beat OoT with three hearts and tried MM but I got distracted with other games and never finished it.

I've always meant to do this in multiple LoZ games, but never got around to doing any. Partly because the games aren't really all that challenging, and I already know that I can beat every boss in the games that I would try it in without taking damage.

Perhaps some day I'll go back and do them.

That is absolutely incredible. I needed tons of hearts and even then, I regularly died. Playing with just 3 hearts for the whole game... You know, I might just try it for the fun of it. I probably won't last too far, but it would be an exciting challenge. I wouldn't do it on Master Quest though since that would just be impossible (for me anyways).

lots of potions, knowing when to attack and being careful.

i beat the 3 heart challenge on Zelda Ocarina of Time Master Quest on the 3DS Remake of Ocarina of Time and OMG is so hard and i even did a no potion and no fairies run to make it even more harder and god it was really hard, especially fighting Ganon, i died from that boss 25 times in a row i even died sometime when trying to help zelda get out of the fire ring surrounding her.

How did I never find a thread of this I really did attempt that And it is something challenging too. So far I can say that the games I managed to complete like this was ALTTP and ALBW It wasn't really like it for ALTTP since they force you to get the heart container after each boss but managed not to get any sword upgrade, armor, etc. The last boss with Ganon was super hard since only spin attacks actually hurt him >.>

For Link Between Worlds it was quite hard as well but I did beat it I even went through the trouble to post a pic

I did it with Wind Waker (GameCube) and Twilight Princess (Wii) recently. It died twice on Wind Waker (Dark Nuts) and like 25+ in Twilight Princess (Falling + THOSE 2 DARK NUTS IN HYRULE CASTLE!!!!!). I was gonna do Skyward Sword but the disk isn't working. So I started Spirit Tracks (which is progressing slowl, the next part is to enter the fire region!).

Easy game so I thought why not speed run it on 3 hearts
Only took like 5 days but it was even more fun than having more than 3 due to having to be careful of not dying!

I never tried that before, and I bet I wouldn't make it very far either way since as you progress throughout the game, you take more damage than usual. It sounds almost as intense as making it to Ganon in the first Zelda game without the sword. That right there is hard since you will have to farm for Rupees.

I haven't beat a game yet. But I made a Majora's Mask challenge that included it. Contact me if you want to take the challenge as well. I'll make a thread about it later! Its really hard. There is a Master Quest and a Hero Quest. Be ready for one of the hardest challenges. You are allowed to delete three of the rules if you think they are too harsh. I'll give you one rule. NO SONG OF SOARING!!!

i'm in the same situation with my three hearted run of Majora's Mask, wich is odd considering it's my second favourite Zelda

I managed a 3 heart run on: MM3d, OOT3d, OOT, And MM. I never beat the first zelda actually... all i know how to do is get the sword from the old man XD. Its not the hardest thing in the world, you just have to be careful (3 heart runs),

I've done a three heart run in TP and MM. Granted I died a lot but I still did it ;-;

I'm currently trying to do a Ocarina of Time Master Quest 3 heart run with no weapon upgrades and no deaths, if I die it's basically game over.

I've done it for OoT, OoT master quest, MM, TP, and 5 hearts on ALBW normal and hero. The only one I remember having any trouble with is Majota's Mask as it was a no upgrades run and I never fought the final boss without fierce deity mask. I allowed myself a second bottle, though, as it was the 3ds version which almost requires chateu romani for the grrat bay temple because of the swimming mechanics getting changed.

I never did that, I never actually saw the fun in doing it, and I don't often enjoy replaying the same game so I skipped all that and just played the game the way it's meant to be played.
