whats the current condition of your 3DS/3DS XL? it is still pretty much brand new, or perhaps it has a few scratches on it? or maybe it's a little broken in places?

my 3DS still looks brand new, because it has screen protectors on it, and a metallic casing on it. I take good care of it and even wipe the screens with a cloth after each time I play it. xD

I've had it since its release in April 2011, and it's still in almost-perfect condition - even without screen protectors or anything. The only not-perfect thing is the two scratches on the upper screen made by the touchscreen's hinges, but all owners of the original 3DS have that problem.

None of the buttons are even slightly damaged - they're just as perfect stiff clicky as they were the day I bought them. The touchscreen does look like it's been thoroughly used, but everything shows and works perfectly and it doesn't affect anything.

I take good care of my 3DS, yes I do :cat:

Well considering I just got my Yawshi XL in April, I'd say it looks brand new.

Once a big 3DS game happens that I play hundreds of hours comes out tho. That'll be the day it starts lookin nasty. (Nothing coming out this year that'll do that tho!)

I've had this 3DS since last year, it's still functional with no noticeable problems. I'm hoenstly surprised, I've killed many a DS in the past.

I've had my Red 3DS for almost 1.5 years now and honestly, it looks as good as new. I'll give it a solid 9 out of 10.

My 3DS was second-hand when I buyed it three years ago, but it still looks great, only a bit dusty :p

I think I got my 3DSXL Link Between Worlds in January and it's in the best condition except that it make onomatopoieac sounds like crack and snap when I open it half way and fully!

I always wipe my shell and screen clean if there are fingerprints/smudges on them. I like to keep it looking clean and new.

That is normal, it is just an indication that your 3DSXL screen has locked into place.

It's scratched on the back slightly and when I squashed a bug that was crawl on it it's blood went on the 3ds screen *just a little* and won't come off! :(

Thanks for that!

Try to slightly bleach it with a thick clothe.

I got my Blue 3DS XL in December (2013), and so far it looks brand new. I've gotten a Crystal Case from my brother, so I use that all the time, the only problem with that case is it makes the 3DS XL more bulky and sometimes dust gets stuck on the inside, so you have to clean it regular but I'm still lucky to have a case that protects me from scratches, etc.

Use Rubbing Alchohol, it's the safest thing, it dries fast and cleans up the area nicely.

I've had my 3ds since September 2011, and carry it everywhere I go. As a result of this, both the top and bottom screens are scratched, the outer casing has many scratches on both the top and bottom, the sticker on the bottom came off, my start button is wearing out, the paint is chipping around the buttons and the outer casing, the volume slider has been worn down considerably, both screens are knocked slightly out of place (causing the touch screen to be eternally out of calibration), the sticker overlay on the select/home/start buttons is peeling, the rubber things on the bottom have fallen off, and dust is collecting around the hinge. :/ It still, surprisingly, works pretty well though. :p

I purchased my 3DS XL last year and it still looks brand new when closed. No scratches on the body or either of the screens, however, the bottom screen could use a bit of wiping. You'll see some dust on the screen every now and again too. It fell down once though and ever since I've been having minor issues with Wi-Fi. The buttons still work so I'm happy for that.
because it has screen protectors on it
... :panda:

Got a Pearl Pink 3DS in May 2013. Got some scratches on the bottom outer case, but everything else is fine. My friend made a hand-made pouch for me and it's cute.

Mine is still practically brand new even though I've had it for a year and a half. It still looks like I've never taken it out of the box, with the exception of a couple of fingerprint smudges on it.

I have a limited edition Zelda 3DS from 2011. I am really proud to say it has suffered no damage over its nearly 3 year lifespan. I have screen protectors which do look a bit roughed up, but the system itself is still in very good condition(which is surprising since I am very poor with handling small, delicate objects).

I had my 3DS XL (Pokémon X/Y Blue one) in November 2013, and she's in a good condition. A few micro scratches on the upper case (not the screens, they're in perfect conditions), but other than that, she's in a perfect condition, and I take care of it.

Even when I take it with me.

My Cosmos Black 3DS that was purchased for me in like 2012 is in great condition, it's very dusty which can't be helped and has a few fingerprints on it that I occasionally wipe off when it's very visible - and I'm not sure if it has two minor scratches on the top screen due to it touching the hard thing next to the bottom screen when closed, a problem I think is with all original 3DS owners as @Spinnerweb has said (not sure if we're talking about the same thing though).

Basically this.
