Yeah, I'm aware of Nintendo doing that. I've read a lot of tings about how people get kicked from tourneys and such.

Actually, there is a 3DS AR. I specifically saw one at Walmart and I was raging because of it. People in communities need to stand against hacking. It takes the fun out of the game and makes difficult tasks a second away. =/

The "3DS AR" you've seen doesn't actually work for the 3DS games, or at least it doesn't as of yet. The latest system that an AR has functioned on is the DSi. I'm pretty sure Code Junkies has moved on to selling just system accessories at this point.

The 3DS AR is compatible with the 3DS, but you can only hack Nintendo DS games with it. I heard that Game Freak is working on something (note: can be a rumor) that will prevent people from participating in random Wi-Fi battles if a Pokemon's stats were modified with an app or cheating device. I hope that's true.

Excuse my ignorance then, I'm happy to hear that. ^O^

I doubt gamefreak needs to do anything, last I herd it's extremely difficult to hack the 3DS/games to make a cheat device even possible.

Extremely difficult isn't enough. They need to make it entirely impossible to hack.

impossible and hack can't be used in the same sentence mori :p I give it a year till the 3DS has a working AR or another type of cheat device.

If they [Nintendo/Gamefreak] really wanted to, couldn't they just make an update to brick it or whatever though? Isn't there something they could do to stop hacking?

But I fear that even if they could do something, people might start complaining. . .

This time around things are different.

With the NDS, once a game was hacked, nothing could be done to stop it. Once they find a working hack, it won't take Nintendo long to find a way to stop it.

Now, I know hackers are tenacious, but how long would they last, spending weeks to hack a game, only for the hack to be made useless after a week or so?

Cheating = No fun

Yeah, I have used an Action Replay cheat device for a Pokémon game when I was younger. I do not cheat anymore, though, so I threw away my Action Replay about two years ago.

Why don't you sold it?

It was in bad condition. I doubt whoever I'm selling it to would give me more than five dollars.

Depends on the hacker, some just don't give up.

It still won't make a big difference if the hacks are disabled quickly. They should also find a way to corrupt the save data of games that were hacked.

I only ever use cheats if I've beaten a game. I like to run through the game first on my own to get the full experience, then see how I can mess around with it afterwards. ;)
